...Happy Women' s Day...Feels so nice to read all these loving words...Thanks a lot! and Happy Women's Day to all!
Part Two
Yash wondered if he should take her seriously or no. That evening he thought about her a little more than other days. Maybe he should not have told her something like that about remarrying.
Finally he dismissed these silly thoughts hovering on his mind and went to sleep.
Next morning he got up and checked his mobile to see a message from Aarti.
"Please do come to the temple in the evening today! You may find the person you are looking for! I am leaving. Good Bye!"
Yash rubbed his eyes and re read the message. He got ready and wasn't able to concentrate on his work. He was just waiting for the evening. He left for the temple and with great anticipation waited for the "clone of Aarti" to arrive.
He hadn't entered the temple as yet. He ran his eyesight as far and as round as he could trying to spot someone like Aarti. He couldn't see any lady like that. So he decided to go inside the temple. He prayed and rang the bell and closed his eyes.
"May Aarti always be happy Lord! She is such a lovely girl. She deserves the best for all the patience she has shown by living alone for so long after marriage!"
His entire prayer was for her only.
He heard a bell now. He opened his eyes and after doing a final "pranam" to the Lord he looked at the person who rang the bell.
He was stunned! He walked a few steps behind and was in a daze.
How could it be possible to see someone just like Aarti?
But she was dressed in full white.
There was no ornament on her to adorn her but she looked like a Goddess even without them.
The lady folded her hands and prayed to the Lord and then turned to go around the complex. Yash waited to see if she would recognize him. Though her sight fell on Yash she did not recognize him.
Yash kept following her movements discretely. The lady finally started leaving the temple.
Now Yash had to speak to her --- so he moved forward and said: Excuse me Madam, do you come here every day?
She looked at him and without the slightest expression her face said: Yes.
Yash saw a deep sense of barrenness in her life.
She was certainly a widow.
A young widow.
Yash: I am Yash. Actually it is kind of weird but my friend told me about you. I mean --- that you would come here.
The lady immediately asked: Was it Aarti?
Yash was surprised that she knew her name: Oh yes!!! So you know her. And it is unbelievable that you look just like her!
The lady finally smiled just a little.
The lady: I know her very well.
Yash: Oh -----but now she has left.
The lady: Finally to be with her husband!
Yash nodded. She was well aware of all that he knew about Aarti.
The lady: I need to go now.
She started walking away but stopped and turned and looked at Yash: May I know your name please?
Yash: I told you some time back --- I am Yash.
The lady: Sorry, I couldn't remember.
As she was leaving Yash asked: And your name madam?
The lady: Arpita.
Yash was left speechless! That was his wife's name! Oh God! How could someone who looked like Aarti whom he had enjoyed being with, have the same name as his ex --- wife Arpita!
