The Originals Spoilers: "Filming a Scene With a Coffin" " Does Klaus Stake Elijah?

Share

Reward Me

If there are two things that tend to go hand-and-hand in vampire mythology, it's vampires and coffins. Surprisingly, The Originalsis somewhat sparse on the coffins. They usually only pop up whenKlaus (Joseph Morgan) has daggered one of his siblings. Which is why we're so worried about Joseph's recent tweet.

"Filming a scene with a coffin," Joseph  earlier today. Uh oh. Does this mean Klaus has daggered Elijah (Daniel Gillies)? There seems to be a good chance given the direction their relationship is currently heading. Though the brothers may seem relatively amicable on the surface, Klaus has started plotting behind Elijah's back. While Elijah forges a peace treaty between the different factions of the city, Klaus works to undermine that peace by working with the oppressed werewolves to hatch a power-grabbing plan. Does this plan end in Klaus' needing to dagger Elijah and stick him in a coffin to keep him quiet? Because, we're just saying, a lot of Klaus' plans tend to.

Of course, there could be another explanation for the coffin on set. First and foremost, someone could have died. If this is the case, our money is on Father Kieran, who has been slowly deteriorating since a witch placed a hex on him a handful of episodes ago. We've seen the results of this hex before in his nephew Sean, and " spoiler " it didn't end well. Is the coffin in question Father Kieran's. We could actually see Klaus going to his funeral. Not only does he seem reasonably fond of the former leader of the human faction, but Klaus respects Cami and seems to care about her. We like to think he'd show up at Father Kieran's funeral if only as a sign of support for the bartender psychologist.

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

The Originals Spoilers: Will Kol and Finn Return?

Share

Caspar Zafer and Nathaniel Buzolic Are Original Brothers Finn and Kol on The Vampire Diaries

Klaus (Joseph  Morgan), Rebekah(Claire Holt), and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are so gosh darn compelling as the Mikaelson family on The Originals. In fact, sometimes it's easy to forget they had two other brothers kicking around (not counting poor young Henrik, who died before they turned vamps) before they bit it on The Vampire Diaries. But death is an elusive target in this particular narrative universe. Will we see Kol(Nathaniel Buzolic) and Finn(Caspar Zafer) on The Originalsanytime soon?

Good news, all! Though executive producer Julie Plec recently deflated hopes that Kol would be making an appearance on the spin-off anytime soon, according to Joseph, there's definitely a chance we might see Kol and/or Finn at some point in The Originals run. The actor told Complex Pop Culture: "There's possibilities to bring them back in a 1,000 years worth of flashbacks, and secondly, we are a supernatural show. There's always a chance an incantation can be found, or some kind of loophole that the witches never saw coming." That sounds awfully promising to us!

The promise of anything concrete, however, was less forthcoming. Joseph said: "We always hear whispers of storylines to come, and about 50% of them pan out. The writer's room constantly adapts and changes things and goes with characters that are making an impact and kills off characters that aren't, latching on to certain storylines and working around other actors' schedules. There's all these factors that come into play."

So, the way we interpret this is: The Originals writers aren't ones to commit to storylines so completely that they won't change plans for something that is or isn't working. As long as they keep churning out episodes as solidly entertaining and compelling as the ones they've been giving us recently, that strategy works for us! Of course, we wouldn't say not to seeing Kol or Finn again sometime in the future...

The Originals Spoilers: "The Big Uneasy" Images & Description

Posted by: Craig Byrne in KSiteTV NewsThe Originals March 27, 2014 0

Airing April 15 on The CW will be an episode of The Originals titled "The Big Uneasy."

Here's a really long description with new spoilers. Some official photos were just released too, which you can find under the description.

THE FEAST OF THE BLESSINGS " Genevieve (guest star Elyse Levesque) asks Elijah (Daniel Gillies) to allow her coven to publicly celebrate a traditional feast day, where members of the community offer the witches gifts in return for blessings.  Monique (guest star Yasmine Al Bustami)) and Genevieve disagree over what the ancestors want from them, and Genevieve reveals her plan to build the witches power.  When Elijah focuses his attention on restoring their home to its former glory, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) accuses him of doing it only to impress Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).  Next, Klaus sets a new plan in motion by finding Cary (guest star Jesse Boyd), a werewolf from his own line, and sending him off to find a missing piece of family history.  Marcel lets Thierry (guest star Callard Harris) in on his new plan to rebuild his power, but Diego (guest star Eka Darville) has his own ideas about the future.  At the Feast of the Blessings, Monique and Genevieve try to use the ceremony to teach Davina (Danielle Campbell) a lesson, but Klaus intervenes and gives Davina a surprisingly important gift.  While Hayley struggles to decide where her loyalties should lie, the ceremony explodes into violence.  Leah Pipes also stars.  Leslie Libman directed the episode written by Marguerite MacIntyre & Michael Russo (#118).

'The Originals' CW TV Spoilers Preview Funeral Following Claire Holt's Rebekah Shocking Departure, Cast Joseph Morgan Twitter Hints at Main Character Killing

We can always expect a death on "The Originals" and following Rebekah's shocking departure fans are still trying to heal from the end of  a main character 's storyline. However, new spoilers revealed that their will be a funeral in New Orleans.

According to Wetpaint.com, Rockdale News reported that the CW hit show will be filming a funeral scene this week, and is looking for "bohemian, artsy looking extras" to attend the fictional service.

Considering the description of the casting it is likely that the witch community will be losing a member of their coven.

But the big question is who? So far the witches have said goodbye to the likes of Sophie, Davina (returned from the dead), Monique (returned from the dead), Celeste, Papa Tunde, Katie, Jane-Anne and Bastiana to name a few.

The spoiler site is hinting that the top contenders to die are Genevieve and Monique. Since returning, both characters have caused trouble for the main characters.

Since her return Monique has killed her aunt Sophie and has been giving Davina the cold shoulder causing the young witch to doubt herself and powers.

Meanwhile Genevieve tortured Rebekah and later exposed the truth about how she tried to kill Klaus, causing her brother to try to kill her and resulted in her departure from the French Quarter.

Genevieve also happens to be Klaus' new friends with benefits, which we know is going to end badly for one of the parties involved.

This is the second funereal-themed spoiler that has surfaced about "The Originals" in the recent weeks.

Last week, Joseph Morgan (Klaus) took to Twitter to post a message about filming a scene with a coffin.

Seeing as filming takes time this could mean the scenes are related then again, Klaus does have spare coffins which he uses to punish loved ones.

The Originals Spoilers: Davina Is "Furious" at Klaus For Killing Tim

Share Tweet
Reward Me

Hell hath no fury like a teen witch scorned. OK, so that's not how the saying actually goes, but it will be completely true later on in Season 1 of The Originals. In the episode before Davina (Danielle Campbell) was sacrificed to complete the Harvest Festival, you may remember that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) poisoned her love interest, Tim (Shane Coffey). But is Davina harboring ill will toward Klaus for this betrayal?

The short answer? Yes.

"She's furious at him for what he did. And she's never going to forgive him, I don't think," Danielle told TVLine about the heartbreaking incident. Yikes, sounds like Davina will be coming for blood by this season's end. The only reason she hasn't already exacted revenge? "She hasn't [seen him], so the opportunity hasn't arisen," Danielle continues.

We fully support Davina's thirst for vengeance against the morally corrupt Original, but we are a little concerned that perhaps Davina doesn't have what it takes to face Klaus. Ever since she was revived from her short-lived eternal slumber, she hasn't been nearly as powerful as she was pre-sacrifice " mainly because she doesn't have the power of four witches flowing through her anymore.

She may be able to make a rose bloom (suck it, Monique), but does she have enough power to take on the OG hybrid? We think not.

What do you think about Davina's feelings toward Klaus? Should she give it up or die trying?

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Julie Plec Talks Potential Hookups and Returns on The Originals

Share Tweet
Reward Me

The Originals has been extra sensual as of late, with trysts between both Marcel and Cami and Klaus and Genevieve. Is there more of this to come? And what chances are there of seeing more Mikaelsons on the show? Executive producer Julie Plec chatted to TV Fanatic on these very important subjects!

It sounds like Powers That Be are definitely open to bringing more Mikaelsons into the fold " at least in flashback form, exploring the lives of the Original family in the 200 years they resided in NOLA. Speaking specifically about Kol Mikaelson (Nathaniel Buzolic), Julie said: "On The Vampire Diaries, we talked about Kol having hung out and had a good time partying with the New Orleans witches back in the early 1900s, so maybe there's a story there to tell. Who knows?"

As for Finn (Casper Zafer), the eldest and most neglected of the Mikaelson siblings, Julie had this to say: "Poor Finn has been locked in a box for like a thousand years, so I don't know. His casket might make a cameo, but he won't be able to be in those flashbacks. But, there's definitely opportunities to see other members of the Original family from the past in different stories that we tell about what our Originals life was like in New Orleans." We say: Bring on the Mikaelson family flashbacks " especially if they get Rebekah (Claire Holt) back for a guest appearance!

As for the possibility of more hot sex, a la TVD's Delena, Julie seems to think there's always the possibility for more: "Everybody's gotta get some every now and then," she said. "The characters and the audience, I think. There's a release valve that you gotta loosen every now and then."

There you have it: More sex. Possibly more Mikaelsons.

Which Mikaelsons do you want to see on The Originals? Who do you think will hook up next? Sound off in the comments below!

The Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Caroline and Klaus Are a "Done Deal," Says Candice Accola

Share

Remind Me To Watch Reward Me

First Joseph Morgan broke Klaroline shippers' hearts when he said he was content with how Klaus and Caroline ended things on The Vampire Diaries, and now Candice Accola is adding her two cents " and things aren't looking good for this fan-favorite pairing.

"Personally, I've always looked at the two of them as a done deal, but I guess that's just the logical side saying, Why would you ever want to date like a serial murderer to buy you fancy things every once in a while and who's a terrible awful evil person?'" Candice told EW.com, before adding: But I guess from the fans and viewers perspective, it's a little bit more romantic than that."

This isn't too surprising, seeing as Candice has never been too fond of the polarizing pairing, which sparked in Season 3. But the TVD starlet admitted she doesn't know what's to come for Caroline, saying, "As far as on the series goes, they're living in two different worlds at this point. Will Caroline ever visit New Orleans? Who knows. Will Klaus ever come back for seconds? Who knows. But at this point it seems that he's pretty preoccupied in New Orleans and Caroline is definitely preoccupied at college." Or as Julie Plec put it at PaleyFest, "Klaus has s"t to do" in New Orleans.

We understand where the writers are coming from. With Caroline holding down the fort on The Vampire Diaries and Klaus fighting for control over his supernatural empire on The Originals, these two characters couldn't be further apart " physically and emotionally. And as much as we like the idea of seeing Klaus and Caroline together, we have to admit that the timing is off. Caroline is nothing if not loyal, and she's not just going to abandon her friends, especially in the middle of a Traveler epidemic. And Klaus, well, he has a lot of things going on in New Orleans " brother drama, baby mama drama, a burgeoning war between species, etc. " and adding Caroline would make things even more complicated. Frankly, we don't want to see our Blondie get her heartbroken.

But that doesn't mean Klaus won't be Caroline's "last love" " as promised. Remember Klaroline fans, vampires live forever

What do you think of Candice's answer? Do you want to see Klaus and Caroline get together on the spinoff? Sound off in the comments!

Catch the episode of The Vampire Diaries on April 17 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Another Originals Crossover in Season 5?

Share

Remind Me To Watch Reward Me
The Vampire Diaries vs. The Originals Casts

Credit: The CW

So far, The Originals has stayed largely separate from its source material The Vampire Diaries. There have been a few crossovers. TVD's Tyler hopped over to The Originals for a few episodes. And the Mikaelsons made their way back to Mystic Falls in some way for TVD's 100th episode. Can we expect another crossover before the season is out?

Sadly, there won't be anymore TVD/The Originals crossovers this season. Executive producer Caroline Dries told Zap2it: "Not this season. It is exhausting trying to schedule those guys. It's so weird to me, now watching The Originals, they're so deep into it. Doesn't it feel like it's a completely different tone than our show? I know people want Caroline to go over there, but I'm trying to picture her being in New Orleans, and it just doesn't feel like a good fit. So the rest of this season, no more crossovers."

In one answer, Caroline managed to dash our hopes not only about an upcoming crossover and the possibility of Caroline making her way over to The Originals anytime soon. Still, we suppose there is a silver lining to this separation, which is that both shows will have more time to focus on delivering a stellar, fast-paced ending. As much as we like to see the characters on these two shows interact, we want those interactions to serve a purpose, rather than just be a publicity stunt or to get an easy reaction out of the fans. We appreciate that the TVD/The Originals Powers That Be seem to have a similar perspective. We trust that, when crossovers do happen, they will totally be worth it and will work for both the character(s) in question and the shows themselves. And, yes, this includes the much-wished-for Caroline crossover for which we still have our fingers crossed.

What do you hope the next crossover will look like? Sound off in the comments below!

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

The Originals Spoilers: Leah Pipes Says the Season 1 Finale Is "Nuts!"

Share

Reward Me

Are you ready for the epic craziness that is sure to be The Originals Season 1 finale? This show has gotten increasingly more amazing in its inaugural season. If it continues to follow this trend, that means the Season 1 finale will be the best and most insane yet. And, look: Leah Pipes (Cami) seems to be corroborating this theory...

"OH MY GOD our season finale is NUUUTS! Whaaat???!!!" Leah Wednesday, presumably after reading the script for the final episode of the season. We. Cannot. Wait.

For those keeping track, we are about to watch Season 1, Episode 18 ("The Big Easy"), set to air April 15, which means we still have five episodes until the season finale, aka Season 1, Episode 22. Anything could happen in that time. Death, destruction, epic showdowns. Oh wait, that's every episode of this show.

There is one spoiler that puts Leah's tweet in potentially terrifying context: executive producer Julie Plec said that there will be "an impressive body count"on both The Originals and The Vampire Diaries " and that some of the deaths will be a big deal. Will we be losing another major character? This season has already seen the death of Sophie Devereaux, one of the main cast members, but it's hard to imagine losing anyone else from the core group of characters.

Taking the season finale speculation in a completely different direction, we're hoping the season ender will bring the much-anticipated birth of the miracle baby (or devil spawn, depending on who you ask). The revelation that Hayley was pregnant with Klaus' child was what sparked this narrative and, even if the show has (thankfully) become so much more than that storyline, we're eager to see it play out. Hopefully, the season finale will be the game-changing moment when Klaus and Hayley's baby is finally born.
