The girl at the end really took the matter to another level and scolded the guy who was calling the north east girl "chinku and chinese"
she threatened to call police and said these golden words

"behas karega na to bohat problem mein aa jaye ga...sorry bol aur jaa yahan se"

That was really brave of her and must be appreciated.

@topic. I do not see any basis of racism or discrimination against her. If you are calling her chinku and chinese. she can call you brown and dark. There is no end. Being chinku or chinese is not bad nor is being dark or brown. We should refrain from such nonsense.

One person calling, 'Chinku and Chinese' and the other person calling 'Dark and Brown' . Both persons have no work and don't deserve to be respected. Each person has a lot of things to do for himself/herself and calling another person 'Chinku, Chinese' is only waste of time for that person. Why can't everyone mind his/her own business?

I am finding racism is deeply within the minds of people and a person who is white can anytime believe dark-complexioned person is inferior. Because her husband is dark-complexioned, a woman sets him on fire.

A living being died because he was dark in color.

What has this world come to? What a disgusting and evil mind she is.

Terrible way to end the day.

FYI:- Dial 1093 against racism: Delhi Police helpline for people from north east

--------------

Again Delhi is news for wrong reasons. capital city of any country is the main showcase of the Nation. If such kind of cultural intolerance is exhibited then it reflects the racist nature of Indians to the world...How can somebody categorize northeast community or South Indian community? After all we are Indians & have rights to work or settle down anywhere in India...May be tomorrow they can be more inclined towards China due to this...these type of discrimination should be stopped and people doing such things should be punished.

Judging by the number of advertisements that we see in the matrimonials that insist on a "fair and lovely" bride this case should make men think twice before fixing their priority with a fair complexioned bride and especially when they themselves happen to be dark complexioned .
Its possible that the girl too had a similar preference for the "white skin" but a patriarchal society ignored her wishes and she was forced to marry a dark man who had preferred a fair wife.
Fair enuff ? The irony!

Moral of the story: If men have the right to demand their preferences girls too should be given opportunity to voice their preferences before they decide to take matters into their own hands.

Mr: Zorro, By what you say, you have accepted that woman had good reasons to set her husband on fire. And so according to you she deserves to be given another chance. Can't we talk about every criminal, both males and females, in the same way? Edited by maha2us - 9 years ago

Second chance for what? πŸ˜• To kill another fair skin loving husband? Not at all!
Good reason or bad reason- murder is murder and law will treat it as such. Her being a male or a female will not alter the punishment  by the court.
