"Just above our terror, the stars painted this story
in perfect silver calligraphy. And our souls, too often
abused by ignorance, covered our eyes with mercy."- Aberjhani
But the facet of Terrorism is many sided, thus whichever way we turn a new dimension of the sublime cruelty rises towards us and leaves us to think if our previous judgement had been enough to counteract the tightening vices of this sin. A sin committed on us by the proclaimed sinners and the sin committed by us on the unknown faces of innocent bystanders.
"The estimated 66,000 children abducted by Joseph Kony were made guerrilla child soldiers by him. Ages not above 15."
We generally stereotype terrorism and terrorists as "Wrong, Evil and Unlawful" and in every case their actions are indeed all of these things. Innocent lives are lost, homes are destroyed, families are torn apart and lives are never the same again.
But sidelining the political agendas, criminal minds and the psychopathic souls which may contribute to active participation in terrorism, there are also those who have nothing on the gaining side, who have no agendas to proclaim power and who do not have any bending towards bloodshed but are seen standing on the wrong side.

These are the recruits, the innocent young ones, the repressed happy faces of those kids who play in the gullies, the ones who look towards the sky in awe. These are the brains of infinite knowledge with unbound dreams, the stars of a future which will never be theirs. They are the bullied, crippled and threatened individuals, the influenced, brainwashed and torn souls.
Over the years we have seen terrorist activities grow rapidly all over the world but what should also be pitied and mourned for, is the ages and situations of those who are made to carry out the dirty job, some of whom are as young as 12 or 13 years of age and some with no choices at all.
"A teenage girl captured with harmful weapons by Police Services reveals she was forced to carry these explosions by her brother."
But can this be said for every criminal? for every terrorist? Are all terrorists the same? Are all of them bad and deserve to die? Or are some of them victims of the masterminds' who plan these gruesome activities? If so, do THESE (victim)terrorists be given the choice to lead a normal life outside of the realms of their camps?
"Rajiv Ghandi assassinated in a suicide bomb attack performed by a woman."

We cannot forgive them for the deaths and the loss and the grief that will haunt us. At least not all of them. And thus we cannot sit idle in confusion and just demand our victory on them. We need to bring about an agitation in ourselves to find answers.
So we urge to plan for a bigger goal, for the greater good.
To fight terrorism is not to become terrorists towards them but to cut the roots of its growth.
Look towards those young children made into murderers, do you not think-
"so young to be fighting so many."
Feel the loss of those genius minds made into weapons, do you not think -
"so brilliant to be wasted like that."
Cry a little for those with death their only friend which can save their family, do you not think-
"they were loved and so he died for them."
Today as India accolades Anti-Terrorism Day, we plead a notion for this year, to fight for them who are unheard, those who mean no harm but have no choice and those whose identities are lost in the name of terrorism.
Today we will try and acknowledge that you do not become a terrorist just by standing next to one, you cannot profess someone a terrorist because their family held some and you cannot pull them down just because they belong to a country despaired by terrorism.
