...3, 2, 1. The countdown has begun😎...finally its on!

We hope many of you are excited as much as us because the seventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has kicked off with speed.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is a Twenty20 cricket tournament where different franchise teams participate for the title. The tournament started in 2008 and from then it usually takes place every year in the months of April - June. This year, we have 8 teams in total.

IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world - a combination of cricket and entertainment, slowly growing into became a worldwide phenomenon like other leagues. It is a tournament with seventy-six matches, spread all across the country where the leading international cricketers with Indian cricketers battle it out against each other in the Twenty20 format.

Previously known for being under-achievers,What a season they are having, and one wonders whether it will almost be a travesty if they do not go all the way to the IPL final next Sunday and lift that golden trophy to add that ultimate gloss to what has been a truly amazing season.For Kings,it has been just unstoppable, wonderfully power-hitting, gung-ho smashing out of the park T20 play which has taken them right to the top of the table in record-breaking style, with 11 wins from 14.👏

The reward for this brilliant performance in the league phase? Umm... a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens,, the Knight Riders' shining citadel.😎

Kolkata Knight RidersWith two wins from first seven matches, Kolkata Knight Riders were written off midway into the tournament but they bounced back to seal a playoff berth.Later, Yusuf Pathan's hurricane 22-ball 72 fired them up to second spot on net run rate and here they are, Qualifiers on their own home ground with KXIP.While Kings XI have been the best team over the 14 games of the league phase, KKR are the form team of the moment, winning seven games in a row👏 and storming to that oh-so crucial second place, which gives the team two bites at the cherry at making the IPL 7 final.😛
