Kishkindha Kanda: Sita recollects a memory during vanvaas when she felt tired and was taking rest under the shade of some trees. Ram comes there and tries to alleviate her tiredness by massaging her feet, but Sita does not let him. She serves him instead and tells him that a wife should serve her husband, not the other way around. Ram also prevents Sita from serving him and tells her that both a husband and wife are equal, and there is nothing shameful for them to serve each other.
