It ' s Ballance who provided the much
needed balance to the England side when the chips were
down . They were struggling at 121/ 6 and Ballance along
with Jordan put on an all important stand of 78 for the
7th wicket and that rescued England. He played a
sensible knock and notched up his maiden Test ton,
which helped England to snatch back the advantage.
England now lead by 389 runs and there might be an
overnight declaration. Sri Lanka might face a target of
390 tomorrow. It promises to be an exciting day

13.5

Jordan to Silva, FOUR, four more, dug in short this time and pulled with control down into the ground through backward square leg, races away to the fence. Top stuff

13.4

Jordan to Silva, FOUR, lovely stroke, wasn't overpitched by Jordan but Silva gets forward smoothly to crunch a drive on the up through cover

16.4Plunkett to Kaushal Silva, 1 run, almost a return catch, this was bowled with a scrambled seam from Plunkett, looked like it stopped on the batsman. Silva was early into his push, the ball lobbed in the air but drops well in front of the bowler
