Actors
on the sets of Balika Vadhu faced a problem a few months ago with the
air conditioner not working. Sidharth Shukla spoke up about this and the
problem was then solved. But this incident continues to haunt him.
He says, "Almost every month, it gets reported in the media and that
too, negatively. It's made out to be some kind of a tantrum thrown by me
and that's shocking. I did ask for the AC to be repaired for all of us,
but what's wrong with that? Wouldn't you ask for the same if the air
conditioner stopped working in your office? I have no clue where these
stories emerge from." Even the channel has taken note of this and are
trying to find out who's spreading the rumours.

Meanwhile, Sidharth is balancing films and television. About his time
management skills, he says, "The motivation comes from my character Shiv
being loved by so many people." What about reports regarding simmering
tension between him and co-actor Shashank Vyas (it was reported that
Shashank felt he was being sidelined in one of the earlier tracks)? "I'm
really not aware of any tension between me and any actor on the show."
Now, with Shashank having asked for his shift to be reduced from 12 to
10 hours, there's buzz that other actors too want the same. "To each his
own. I just focus on my work. I have a commitment of 12 hours a day
with the production house and I'll stick to that," he signs off.
