Sneak peek
I was on my way to the school grounds for physical training hour, eluding the confines of my classroom which was great fun at that age. The day was getting hotter, thus making it tougher for kids to survive the heat. My throat started thirsting once great amounts of sweat emanated due to the nerve crackling heat. Kids were scattered on the ground engaged in games instructed by their respected teachers. I felt the need of water to quench my dryness due to the hot atmosphere. My eyes fell on a boy playing with a group of sixth graders on my way towards the bottle which was stuffed in my bag. His face screwed up with determination, as he ran to pick up the hurrying ball towards a boundary, he skidded to a halt once he caught hold of the ball, his eyes failed to notice me, since his entire concentration was in their game of cricket. My legs failed to move ahead, as I saw his tall figure, recognizing the same intense brownish eyes. He was the same boy whom had dashed me the previous day.
