Chapter 1:
~ Shamaa ko pighalne kaa armaan kyun hai, Patangeko jalne kaa aramaan kyun hai, Esi shauk kaa imtihaan zindagi hai.
Nahi koi insaan mohabbat se khaali, Har ek rooh pyaasi har ek dil savaani, Mohabbat jahaan hai wahaa zindagi hai, Mohabbat naa ho to kahaa zindagi hai ~
**********
Aahil Raza Ibrahim was busy driving through the street as his mind was too occupied with heavy thoughts. He didn't know where he was going or whether if he would find what he was looking for - but it was worth a try.
He took a deep breath trying to collect his thoughts. So much had happened lately that he honestly lost track of things.
It had been a year since his so called wedding had been called off. Nida was long gone from his life and somehow he still managed to get the property he rightfully owned. No problem there. What bothered him was the fact that he hadn't seen the person he longed for.
A year of where he hadn't seen her.
Sanam had stopped working at the big Haveli. She left without informing anyone. She didn't even bother to tell him why she left.
He couldn't stop thinking about the reason she had left. Aahil gripped into the steering wheel which made his knuckles turn white.
His thoughts went back a few hours ago.
Aahil stood facing the tall window of his cabin where he got a clear view over the city. He wore a thoughtful look on his face as if he was busy trying to comprehend the information he just received.
He took a small glance down at the many papers which were lying on the glass table. He had read the same sentence over and over again and each time it never made sense. He shook his head trying to figure out what was going on.
He was the only person who had gotten a hold of these papers - not even his brother, Rehaan had seen these. The papers which were lying before him were important property papers. They informed him that the half of the property belonged to someone else.
It wasn't that someone had gotten its hand on his money which bothered him, but rather something else.
He lowered the gaze at the end of the file where someone's signature was visible. He kept staring at it as he ran his fingers over the name.
"Sanam Ahmed Khan - Daughter of Late Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farooqui."
Aahil was brought back to the present by a sound coming from the car behind him. He reached out where he changed the gear and continued to drive through the busy road. Eyes merely focused on the road ahead of him.
Meanwhile:
Sanam Ahmed Khan stood with her back facing her Badi Ammi. Dishad stood taking a glance at her grandchild and sighed. They were both busy in a heavy argument.
Dilshad took a step and placed a hand on her shoulder. "It was best not to tell you."
"But how?" Sanam said turning around to meet her eyes. "How could you hide this from me?"
They both remained quiet for a while. Sanam raised her head as she crossed her arms. "Anyway, I'm doing what it right for you." She tried to convince her Badi Ammi, but sounded more like she was trying to convince herself.
Sanam shook her head and made it toward the front door where she drove off to a knowing destination.
-------
Aahil arrived at the destination where he was driving toward. He climbed out from the car as he took a glance at the big Haveli - another home to him.
He felt a bit uneasy by the fact that he didn't even know why he had come here at the first place. But something told him to take the step forward and open the front doors.
He opened the doors where to his big surprise found Sanam standing with her back toward his.
"I knew you would come." She said turning around to meet his gaze. Keys dangling from her hand as her eyes were fixed on him.
