Consequences of Human Wickedness

ALTER2EGO -to- EVERYONE:

The routine of skeptics is to point at the consequences of human wickedness and blame God for "creating those types of people." As they see it, an all-knowing God should have known what would happen. Below are some of the consequences of humanity's destructive behavior:

1. Heavy use of fossil fuels that have caused global warming, which, in turn, results in melting of the ice caps.

2. The melting of the ice caps, in turn, has resulted in devastating floods where none previously were.

3. The melting of the ice caps has caused the ocean waters to rise and swallow up various Pacific islands where people once lived and is threatening to swallow other Pacific islands.

4. Global warming has resulted in more powerful and therefore more deadly hurricanes.

5. Humans have ruined the environment with pesticides, which kill off insects that are vital to the health of the soil.

6. Humans have spilled oil in the sea and killed off wildlife and sea creatures.

7. Humans have purposely and illegally dumped waste materials in the ocean and destroyed sea creatures.

8. Humans have ruined land and sea with plastic and other useless materials that they had no business creating from the get-go.

And that is just a tip of the iceberg. I have not even touched the moral decay of humanity that has resulted in all types of diseases--because humans have refused to follow Jehovah's guidelines. The skeptics ignore the following facts:

1. Almighty God endowed humans with free will -- the ability to make independent decisions.

2. Along with free will, Jehovah provided written instructions to humanity in his inspired word, the Judeo-Christian Bible, which if followed, would have prevented the harmful results listed above.

3. Humans chose to ignore God's written instructions, and they have chosen to abuse the environment as well as abuse other humans.

"See! This only I have found, that the true God made mankind upright, but they themselves have sought out many plans." (Ecclesiastes 7:29)

POINT FOR DISCUSSION: Who is to blame for the bad behavior of rebellious humans, and why?

Humans believe they are stronger than nature. In some cases we have proved to be stronger and in severe cases we don't stand a chance. Humans have to power to track a hurricane/typhoon but we can't stop it and its destruction.

I do not know that humans believe they are stronger than nature, but they certainly are not showing respect for planet earth by their abuse of the natural resources and by them polluting the environment, after which they pretend they are doing nothing wrong.

Of course we humans are to be blamed.
We tend to take things for granted, when they are in abundance.
We might have gone far ahead with technology, but we are still minuscule in front of nature.

All it takes for nature is one single natural calamity and an entire population is wiped away and balance is restored.

Nature always restores balance. We may like it or not.

As you correctly stated, humans are to be blamed.  Unfortunately, for the most part, humans refuse to take responsibility for their actions.  That is the reason why they continue to pollute our environment.
