The Rising Blues

Into the wilderness of blues was born a blood thirst,

Raging cold wilds that covered the city in endless storms,

The sea rose as a replica of the Almighty's hand,

To engulf the city and make it disappear.

Not twice, not thrice, just once it struck,

To wipe humanity off the land it covered,

Without an ounce of mercy or love that once it showered.

They knew this would happen

Cause she had warned and given them a chance to undo that which had been done.

The choice was between repay or regret,

To repay they chose as their destiny in store.

For pride they cherished of unlawful deeds ,

That smeared darkness all over humanities seeds.

The law stated it all, it was sin committed in short,

The judgement was passed, the sinner were sought.

Oblivious of the fact, of that the sin's nature,

An innocent act or an intended mistake by the creature.

The price was high but pride was higher,

Stepping upon fire driven by endless desire.

They lived long enough to witness fear towards death they lean,

For the punishment was a Spectacle in its own reign.

Rest in peace is the wrongest clause/statement,

For those that denied redemption of amendment.

Justice was severed and life the price,

Those that lived knew not to break the law twice.

The existence of the law is encircled by a reason,

Which will reveal itself to the ones who will not commit treason.

That cause is greater than you can presume,

A priceless spell for peace to resume.

The only truth that rules,

Beyond the punishing blues.

Is that of Balance is a must to prevail,

Behind the layers of untouched veils.

It was really nice, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it :)

Not twice, not thrice, just once it struck

That's my favorite line :)
