Chapter 10

It had been hours Rey came back from the trip and all he wanted to do was be alone. He wanted to find out about how things went with Taani, although he was upset with her because she walked away without seeing him, but even then he was concern for her. He was busy searching her on facebook, when all his friends popped up and threw a surprise party for him. Being a true gentleman that he already is, Rey just pretended to be happy and was entertaining his friends. But after every few minutes he would get back on his phone or laptop trying to find her.

With every passing minute, number of people in his house kept increasing and he couldn't get the privacy. Rey loved his friends and didn't want to be rude to them and neither he wanted to stop his search for her. He looked around the house for a quiet area, but there was one human being in every corner and he was surrounded with friends all the time. Rey sighed and was about to put his phone back in his pocket when he realized that there was only 1 place where no one would interrupt him, so he excuses himself and walks in the washroom.

Sitting next to the sink he was fully concentrating on the screen of his mobile, when someone pushed the door. Rey immediately looked up and found a familiar figure facing her back to him. She seemed quite messed up and her long wavy hair was stuck to her body. She reminded him a lot about taani, same body language, skinny body, dusky skin, She was leaning on the door, as Rey scanned her back top to bottom,

"ummm...excuse me?"

Taani turned back immediately to face him and instantly all her anger, frustration and negativity flushed away. She felt so relieved that a smile creeped on her face. She for few minutes forgot what happened with her earlier, her sister's talk or random people dropping things over her. Standing just few steps away from Reyansh made her feel safe and light in her heart.

Rey on the other hand was shocked, surprised and amazed. Whole day he kept cursing himself for not taking her contact details and now she was standing right infront of him. He was so upset with her for just shooing away this morning. He started breathing heavily as he was trying to control his emotions.  He released his breath from his mouth a few times as he moved his hand in his hair.

"So ab tumhe realize hua ki we need to talk ah??" he asked her in a sarcastic tone.

Taani who was expecting a how are you', or maybe even a hug from him felt a bit disappointed with his question. She was about to say something when Rey interrupted.

"Aisa kaise jaa sakti ho tum? Kuch toh bol ke jati Taani. Humare beech jo hua uske baad we had to talk about it, but you decided to walk away. Ek baar bhi nai socha ki muje kaisa lagega. I felt like a fool, itna weird aur confused main apni puri life mein nai tha kitna ki in pichle kuch ganto mein hua. Har time yahi soch raha tha ki tumara contact number kyu nai lia, tumse raat ko baat kyu nai kia. Muje ab tak samaj nai aya ki tum aise achanak se chali kyu gayi? "

Rey Kept complaining and grumbling while Taani stared at him all upset and annoyed. Why isn't he askin her how is she? Doesn't he want to know how everything went at her home?She kept rubbing her arms and took few deep breaths. She pretended as if she is not listening but Rey still kept talking. Taani tugged her hair behind her ears trying to calm down but Rey still didn't stop. Finally feeling fed up with his talks Taani stared around the washroom looking for something with which she could make him stop talking when suddenly her eyes fell on the shower pipe.

She glanced at him and the shower and without wasting another minute annoyed Taani grabbed the shower and started splashing water on Rey. Rey abruptly stopped talking and just stood there,still and numb, just staring at her.

"Taani tum ye kya kar rahi ho?'' Confused Rey raised his voice as he walked up to her trying to grab the pipe.

Taani resisted and her grip on the pipe became even tighter now. Both of them started struggling with the pipe. Rey was totally wet now and drenched Taani didn't stop too. Both of them were soaking but still none of them was ready to give up. After struggling for 5-7minutes, Rey finally decides to take charge,

"Taani ye bachpana chodd do, main serious baat kar raha hu" Rey grabbed her waist with one hand and held her other hand which was holding the pipe.

Taani came crashing into his arms,there was pin drop silence and the only sound one could hear was that of water dropping on the floor. Water kept spilling on their faces and Rey couldn't take his eyes off her .He was about to say something when he noticed some food particles stuck in her hair, he pulled the pipe from her hand but she caught it tight. Rey looked at her with a stubborn face and pulled her even closer to his chest. Taani hesitated but his grip was too tight so she left the pipe and looked around and tried to move away but Rey wouldn't let go.

Taani stared at him all confused as he started putting water on her head, cleaning the mess over her.  she felt a sudden change in the way Rey looked at her. Holding Taani so close to his body made him feel different from within. Again he was losing control over his conscious.

Both kept staring at each other, completely lost. Water was flowing  smoothly over her face sliding down her chest, making her top stick to her body. Taani couldn't look at him straight anymore so She immediately stared at the floor as he poured water carefully all over her head.Rey moved his hand over her waist and made her turn so that her back faces him. Taani shut her eyes as he moved her hair and poured water over her shoulders.

Rey had never felt such strong attraction to anyone his entire life. He looked at her breathing all heavy and shutting her eyes tight. He moved his hand on her arms as he moved closer to her. Taani shut her eyes even tighter as Rey gave a slight peck on her neck. She felt as if someone just stopped supplying oxygen to her as she couldn't breathe anymore.

He dropped the pipe and made Taani turn and face him. Both of them were breathing heavily as he moved the strands of wet hair which was on her face. Taani gulped as he slowly rubbed her cheeks with his thumb. He slowly moved closer to her lips and Taani didnt stop him either. She just shut her eyes allowing him to take full control.

Rey was just few cm's away from her lips when a drunk girl yelled from outside.

"Rey!!!!! Darwaza kholllooo please"

Taani immediately opened her eyes and pushed him away. She looked around feeling a little embarrassed and kept moving behind. Rey shut his eyes and caught his temple as he realized that he lost control once again. He was about to hold her hand and talk about it when once again the girl banged the door and yelled at him to open it.

He looked helplessly at her and opened it. Drunk Sharon was leaning on the door and smiling foolishly at Rey. She tilited her head and looked at Taani and frowned as she tried to recognize her but then gave up and made her way inside the washroom.

"who are you?Aur mere best friend ke saath washroom mein kya kar rahi thi?" she asked in her drunk tone.

Taani looked at Rey and at Sharon. She was nervous right now and didn't know how to explain to this stranger as what was happening inside the washroom.

"Wo, main Taani, umm..wo main.."

Before Taani could complete, Sharon started giggling and singing

"Rey and Taani under a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G !!"

Rey caught Sharons arms and tried to move her out from the washroom as he realized Taani was feeling more and more embarrassed. But Sharon shrugged his hands off her and continued singing the song. Taani looked at both of them, somewhere deep in her heart she felt a pinch as Rey held Sharon with so much care and concern.  Was he so good with every other girl ??and Taani felt she was special!

Sharon looked at Taani and smiled, she caught her hand and dragged her out,

"You know what Miss...Miss...Kya hai tumhara naam? Well job hi ho miss Bathroom girl. The point is that ye Mr.Reyansh Singhania mera bestestestest buddy hai. Aur humne ye awesome welcome back party organise kiya hai iske liye, Socha tha ki ye finally uska last trip hoga aur phir ye humare saath finally time spend karega"

Drunk Sharon threw her arms around Rey who was completely wet but Sharon was too drunk to notice it, she continued talking

"But I was wrong. Iske trips toh khatam hone ka naam hi nai le rahe hai. Ab ye bewakoof wapus se jaa raha hai East India explore karne.Wo bhi kal sham ko."

Taani immediately looked at Rey, she felt betrayed once again, but this time it was her fate that was cheating her, Reyansh was her one and only hope but now she learned that he will leave too. She kept staring at Rey as Sharon continued,

"Ab hume kya pata tha ki welcome back party, farewell party mein convert hoga"

Sharon was about to continue when Taani spoke up,

"Tum kal jaa rahe ho?"

Water was still dripping from Rey's hair as he nodded his head, "wo Mandy chahti thi ki main uske saath time spend karu so.."

Mandy? Now who is Mandy? And why does she want to spend time with him? Firstly this drunken girl was clinging to him as if he has some magnet in his body and now he's talking about Mandy.

Taani couldn't take it anymore, she shut her eyes trying to control and compose herself. Taking a deep breath in she glanced at Rey for one last time as she decided to leave. He was still struggling with Sharon who was completely out of control. Taani tugged her wet hair behind her ears and stormed out the washroom. Rey wanted to stop her but Sharon was too hard to handle, he helplessly watched her walk out. He shut his eyes out of frustration and stared at Sharon annoyingly.

As soon as Taani reached near the crowd in Rey's living room, she stopped. She looked at everyone, they all were so happy.How she wished she could dance like they were doing, her life was so messed up right now that she wanted to run away from it. She shut her eyes and smiled , for one last time she wanted to feel normal so she started to move her head according to the beat. No matter how crazy it may seem but this was the only way she could relax her mind that was about to explode with all of this that was happening. She started moving her hand in the air and as she twirled around she banged into a female.

(Mandira also known as Mandy) The woman smiled at Taani and then continued her dance step. Taani started moving her body slowly as she scanned the woman head to toe. She looked as if she was in her late 30's or early 40's, but the way she carried herself she seemed quite energetic and young. Rey had loads of friend that was true but this woman seemed the eldest among all. Mandy danced around Taani and then finally stopped as she realized Taani was fully wet. She looked at her top to bottom and then nodded her head as if she is not impressed.  She caught Taani's hand and dragged her out of the crowd.
