"Pratap, aapko ko yeh sagai karni hi padegi." Rani Jaiwanta Bai  said as if pleading than ordering him.

"Yadi humne ek baar keh diya ki hum vivaah nahin karna chahte hai aur naa hi koi sagai toh iska arth yehi hau ki hum vivaah NAHIN KARENGE." Pratap said in a dangerously low voice.

Rani Jaiwanta Bai was very well aware of her son's nature. If he had said that he won't do the sagai then she knew that it would be a tough job for her to make him agree.

"Pratap, 9 varsh  ho chuke hai us ghatna ko hue. Kitne din Pratap? Kitne din tak aap bite dino aur ghatnao ke saaye mein reh kar jiyenge? Aur kitne din aap apne aap ko sazaa denge uss ghatna ke liye jo 9 varsh pehle hua tha? Aap jaante hai Pratap ki aapki nahin thi koi galti fir kyun apne aap ko sazaa de rahein hai aap Pratap? Bhul jaiye Pratap unn baton ko, Bhul jaiye un saari ghatnao ko jo 9 varsh pehle hua tha, bhul jaiye Ajab..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Pratap who was till now listening everything silently with his back towards JB turned around and cut her off in the middle.

"Ruk jaiye Rani Maa. Aap aise keh bhi kaise sakti hai Rani Maa? Yeh aap bhi jaant hai aur hum bhi jaante hai ki jo aap keh rahi hai woh sambhaw nahin hai. Rani Maa aapne soch bhi kaise liya ki hum Ajabde ko bhul jaayenge, APNI Ajabde ko bhula paayenge hum. Kaise soch liya Rani Maa aapne? " He said with pain evident in his voice. How can his Rani Maa say that to him? Forgetting his Ajabde? It was like forgetting himself.

"Pratap..." JB tried to speak but was again interrupted but Pratap.

"Aap keh rahi hai hum bhul jaaye unn beeti baton ko? Aapk keh rehi hai ki hum bhul jaaye uss ghatna ko? Uss kaali raat ko? Uss har ek pal ko jo humne Ajabde ke saath kaati thi? Bhul jaaye Ajabde ko? Aap jaanti hai ki humarein liye Ajabde ko bhula paana asambhaw hai! " He said trying to sound as clear as he could. I was getting difficult for him to control the pool of tears which were ready to break out anytime.

"Haan Pratap, bhulna hoga aapko un saari baaton ko. Bhulna hoga un ghatnao ko. Bhulna hoga Ajabde ko aur uss haadse ko..."

"Galat keh rahi hai aap Rani Maa. Shadyantra. Haadsa nhin, shadyantra tha woh." Pratap said seething in anger. Somewhere there was hiding an emotion of being betrayed by his loved ones.

JB was blank. She didn't knew what to say. The truth can't be denied. But that doesn't mean he would spend his whole life like with the feeling of hatred towards his family and with the past shadowing him. No. That definitely was not done.

"Pratap. Humari baat suniye. Avashyak hai bhulaana aapke liye beeti baaton ko aur Ajabde ko." She said again trying her best to make him understand the siuation. The reality. Past is past.

"Kyun nahin asmajh paa rahi aap humari baat ko Rani Maa? Kyun?" Pratap literally screamed. "Yeh alag baat hai ki Ajabde ne humein diya hua apna vachan nahin nibhaya, yeh alag baat hai ki ve humein chod kar chali gayi, ye *and he chokes* yeh alag baat hai ki unhone ek baar bhi nahin socha ki unke jaane ke baad humara kya hoga..." And a drop of tear trickeld down from his eyes. Many other followed. The tears he had been trying to hold back so long had broken out. The pain was too much to be controlled, the anguish inexpressible.

"Parantu hum unhe KABHI BHULA NAHIN PAAYENGE Rani Maa." He completed.

JB couldn't see her son in pain. It was difficult for her too after all she also loved Ajabde and always thought her to be the ideal bahu and wife. But she knew that how important it was for him to move on.

"Pratp aap jaante hai na ki Ajabde kabhi nahin lautengi fir kyun? Kyun apne aapko itna dard de rahein hia aap? Jaante hai hum kitna prem kate the aap unse. Par iska arth yeh nahin hai ki aap jeewan bhar unhi ke yaad aur unhi ke dukh mein khoye reh jaaye." JB tried to make him understand.

She knew that how much he loved Ajabde. But when after that incident, Ajabde was no more with them; there had always been that feeling in her that it was just a childhood love. Pratap would soon forget it, maximum a year may be, and then he would move on. But as years went by she realized it wasn't only a childhood love. It was true love and something more than that. The bond they shared was beyond what she had thought it to be. The drastic change which she had seen in Pratap was shocking. She never ever expected Pratap to react in such a way to Ajabde's death. It was unbelievable.

"Pratap, samjhne ki koshish kijiye. Aa[ke liye yeh vivaah bohot avashyak hai. Aap ke Daajira bhi yehi chah..." before she could complete Pratap said in an angry tone "Achha toh yeh baat hai. Aap...aap daajiraj ke kehne par humse yeh sab baatein karne aayi hai. Rani Maa aap bhi. Sun lijiye aap Rani Maa. Humein koi farq nahin padta ki ve kya chahte hai ya humse kya apekshaayein rakhte hai. Aur yadi aap yeh soch rahi hai ki hum inki shaaririk sthiti ke baarein mein sun maan jayenge toh aap galat hai." Each and every word of his was clearly said as if he wanted to make it very clear to her. After all misconceptions should be cleared as fast as they could be.

JB was shocked. She was broken. She lost all hopes of getting back her son. In the last 9 years Pratap never had a good and proper conversation of 5 minutes with his father, except that accusation session. The gap in these father son relationship was too long and deep to be bridged. Her son literally hated her husband. HATED his once-beloved' Daajiraaj! The hatred which she saw in Pratap's eyes for her husband broke her to a thousand pieces. Where did that son of hers go, who used to be the ideal for every other Rajput, who always followed the path of justice, who had deep respect for his father? Where did that innocence in him go which was so catchy? Alas! Everything was finished! Her SON was no more. Her son had died there only along with his lady love...

"Rani Maa, ek aap hi reh gayi hai iss mehal mein jinka hum samman karte hai. Majboor mat kijiye humein ki aapke prati woh samman aap bhi kho baithe." Pratap said in a warning tone.

"Pratap, thande dimaag se sochiye. Aap jaante hai na ki yadi aapka vivaah nahin hus toh aap Mewar ke raaj singhasan par nahin baith paayenge? Aap...aap uttaradhikari hai Mewar ke...us singhansan ke. Rajputane ke sabse badhe, sabse vistrit aur sabse shaktishaali Rajya ka Singhasan unhi khaali nahin reh sakta. Aapke Daajiraj se akele nahin sambhala jaata itna bada rajya." JB made him aware of the gravity of the situation. Mewar, Rajputana's biggest and the most powerful state's throne needed someone powerful to rule the country, and Rana Uday Singh was definitely not anymore fit for it. Pratap Singh was the heir of and the rightful owner of the throne. Though from a certain point of view, it didn't matter who sat on the throne, even if it was Jagmaal. From the previous 7 years, Mewar was ruled by Pratap. It had been Chundawat ji supporting him all the while and helping him spreading his territory by attacking many states of Rajputana, thereby extending the boundaries of Mewar. Soon the army was known to be the unbeatable army as no one, no one could defeat his army once, be the opponent be stronger or weaker.

JB glanced at Pratap's face. It was clear that he would again say a no. With no option left to herself she tried the last thing which she could do.

"Aapko apni Rani Maa ki SAUGANDH, aap yeh viaah karenge."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Kunwar Pratap maan gaye?" Rani Dheer Bai Bhatiyaani asked JB, praying to hear a no in answer.

"Haan Jija bataiye na, kya ve maangaye?" Asked SB and badly hoped it to be a yes.

JB took a deep breath and finally answered "Haan. Ve maan gaye."

DB was shocked. She thought that it was going to be a NO as she was so sure that Pratap won't ever agree. That boy still madly loved Ajabde, that girl who was dead. Then how come he agreed? It must be one of JB's tricks. Great. That was all which was to be done. Pratap getting married and ascending to the throne of Mewar and ruling the most powerful rajya of the whole Rajputana. Whereas she and her good-for-nothing son would be watching him rule the Mewar, officially.

It was all her fault. She was such a fool to think that Jagmaal would sit on the throne of Mewar when it was so obvious that only Pratap will sit on it. She wanted to remove Pratap from her way but alas! When was God on her side? Rani Dheerbai Bhatiyani knew that she had to do something before it's too late. And for that she needed to have some time alone and work on the conspiracies which she was very good at.

"Maaan gaye! Arrey Wah! Yeh toh bohot achhi baat hai! Hum jaakar yeh shubh samchaar Rana ji ko de aate hai." DB said pretending to be delighted by this news. She quickly hurried towards Rana Uday Singh's room.

"JIJAAA!!!!!!!!! Kunwar Pratap maan gaye?? Maan gaye ve? Sach keh rahi hai na aap Jija? Humein...humein to yakeen hi nahin hota ki ve maan gaye. Bata nahin sakte Jija ki aaj hum kitne Khush hai!!! Bohot Khush hai hum. Kitne dino se Mewar apne nayi Maha Rani ka intezaar kar raha tha! Aur unhe woh aakhir kaar milne waali hai! Hum Kunwar Pratap ke liye bohot Khush hai!" Sajja Bai said excitedly. She was really happy and delighted after hearing this good news. "Waise Jija, aap bura toh nahin maanengi yadi hum aapse yeh pooche ki Kunwar Pratap iss vivah ke liye maan kaise gaye?"

SB asked JB is hesitant yet curious tone.

"Sajja Bena, Kunwar Pratap to taiyyaar hi nahin the iss vivaah ke liye. Humne unhe bohot samjhaya ki unke liye aavashyak hai ki ve apne jeewan mein aage bade unn ghatnao aur Ajabde ko bhula kar. Parantu ve toh taiyaar hi nahin the. Ant mein humne humarein aakhri vikalp ko chuna. Humne unhe apni saugandh di hai. Kunwar Pratap maan toh gaye hai iss vivaah ke liye parantu..." JB said tensely.

"Parantu kya Jija?" Sajja asked with equal tesnsed expressions.

"Unhone kaha hai ki ve yeh vivaah sirf humare is saugandh kamaan rakhne ke liye karenge. Aur kuch nahin. Aur unhone...yeh bhi kaha hai ki hum unse koyi bhi apekshaayein na rakhe." JB said sadly.

"Yeh kya Jija? Yeh toh ivaah nahin...ek samjhauta hai!" SB said in a shocked as well as sad tone.

"Hum jaante hai Sajja bena. Par humare paas aur koyi vikalp bhi toh nahin bacha tha. Aur sach kahein Sajja Bena, humein pura vishwaas hai ki ek baar Kunwar Pratap ka vivaah ho jaaye toh ve fir se pehle jaise ho jaayenge. Bhula paayenge Ajabde ko aur apne jeewan ek naye sire se shuru kar paayenge. Sabhi punha(once again) uss pratap ko dekh paayenge jo har putra ke liye ek aadarsh tha, aadarsh tha woh har ek Rajput ka, chahein woh sanskaar ki drishti se ho ya vyavahaar ke drishti se. Humein humara khoya hua putra waapas mil jaayega!

Maharani Jaiwanta Bai said withhopefulness. She wished each and every word of hers came true.

"Hey Ek ling ji! Hum ne Chakrapani ke vivah ke samay unhe itna tang toh avashya nahin kiya hoga, jitne ve humein kar rahein hai! Aur Venidas, saath mein Bheem bhi? Yeh humarein mitra hai ya shatru? Ab itna bhi koyi khichayi karta hai apni mitra ki?" Pratap said in a highly irritated tone as he made his way towards his room.
"Ek toh hum pehle se hi hum soch mein padh gaye the ki hum kya baat karenge Ajabde se aur kaise..." A thought crossed his mind and he blushed. "Aur upar se Rani maa ne bhi koyi kasar nahin chodi. Yehan tak ki bhi Choti maa bhi(VB). Achha hua hum whan se aa gaye. Ab humein apne kaksh mein jaakar thodi shaanti milegi." He hurried towards his room.
Pratap was really exhausted. The brave warrior Pratap Singh was drained out of energy. Right from the morning the rituals had started and they were going on and on. Man! He never knew that it would be that much tough. He thought that weddings were an easy process. He was proved wrong today. The whole day seemed really long for him. All he wanted ws a good amount of sleep.

"Humein kya karna chahiye? Kya hum unki pratiksha karein? Yeh vastra bohot bhaari hai. Aur yeh abhushan. Hum  isse kitni der se sambhalein hue hai. Aur nahin sambhle jaate humse yeh. Ek toh humein aadat nahin hai itne saare abhushan aur itne bhaari vastra pehne ki. Upar se itna shringaar aur woh bhi itne lambe samaye ke liye." Ajabde said to herself sitting on the beautfully decorated bed. Not only the bed, the whole room was decorated in a splendid way, with rose petals, and flowers, diyas etc. The room was smelled heavenly with the fragrance of te Roses and jasmines.
Ajabde was not eeling easy. The day had been really tiring. She too was tired and wanted some rest. But the most important thing was to get rid of this heavy jweleries and the heavy lehenga. It had been about half an hour that she was waiting for him, for her husband. But he was no where.
"Humein lagta hai humein yeh abhushan utar dene chahiye aur apne vastra badal lene chahiye."

Pratap opened the door of his room and he was greeted by the beautiful fragrance of the flowers. He went inside the room and was mesmerized. It wasn't the beautifully decorated room, but it was hi wife sittin in front of the mirror and removing her jewels.
Ajabde was still in her bridal lehenga. The pallu was removed and her hair open. She was removing the hair ornaments. Pratap stared at her from his initial position and wondered how lucky he was to have her in his life. So innocent, so pure , so serene and just so beautiful. No more he felt tired, what he felt was looking at his beauty forever.
Ajabde was lost in her own thoughts. She rewinded all the events which happend today and played them again in her mind. A sweet smile formed on her beautiful face. Finally, the were married. So many obstacles, so many struggles and so many conspiracies. Still they were married at last and now she was HIS wife. Kunwar Pratap Singhs Kunwarani Ajajabde Pratap Singh.
Unattentively she was removing the ornaments. She was too lost in her own thoughts. She was removing her ear ring when 'Sss Aaah' She let out a soft cry. The wretched earing was struck with the strands of her hair.

On the other hand Pratap too was back from his dreamland hearing Ajab's voice. He saw her struggling to get rid of the earing. Slowly he tip toed towards where she was sitting.
"Hum kuch mada karein." Pratap said in a husky voice near her ear.
Ajabde was shocked at first listening to the voice but then she looked into the morror and saw it was Pratap. Who else could have come in their marriage night? H

On the other hand Pratap too was back from his dreamland hearing Ajab's voice. He saw her struggling to get rid of the earing. Slowly he tip toed towards where she was sitting.
"Hum kuch sahayta karein?" Pratap said in a husky voice near her ear.
Ajabde was startled at first by the sudden waves of sound near her ear. But it took her only a fraction of second to realize that it was none other than her husband, Pratap.
Pratap was very closse to her. His hot breath fanned her neck. A chill ran down her spine. She closed her eyes as she didn't had the courage to open them and look at him.
"Kya hua Ajabde?" He said in the same tone, not removing his eyes from her refledtion in the mirror. Slowly Ajabde opened her eyes and looked at the mirror. Pratap's face was close to hers. She didn't notice when he came inside the room and stood behind her.
"Woh...woh humein sha...shama kijiyega Ku...kunwar Pratap, humne aa..aapko dekha nahin, an..andar aate hue." She fumbled.
Pratap moved away from her and stood straight beside her.
"Aapki woh shama maange waali aadat abhi tak nahin gayi na Ajabde? Ab toh humara vivah bhi ho chuka hai aur aap ab bhi..." Pratap said in a tone of disbelief. She was saying sorry just because she didn't notice him coming inside?
Ajabde smiled listening this. Sweet old memories flashed in her mind. That encounter of theirs where Ajabde showed him his way in the Bijolia mahal and the way Pratap had laughed at her for starting every sentence with shama kijiyega. It was probably their first proper talk with each other.
Pratap knew what she was thinking. He too smiled remebering the sweet incident. He went behind her and held her shoulders softly from the back and leaned forward with his head neside hers and said. "Humein pata hai Ajabde, aap kya soch rahi hai."
"Avishwasniya(unbelievable) lagta hai Kunwar Pratap. Aaj jab hum unn puraani baaton ko yaad karte hai toh aashcharya lagta hai humein ki kahan humari woh pehli mulaakat thi aapse aur kahan aaj hum dono pati patni hai." Ajabde said as she remebered her first encounter with him in the cow shed.
"Haan Ajabde, hairat toh humein bhi hoti hai, kitna door ka safar taye kar liya na humne? Itne utar chadav aur itni kathinaiyon so joojhna pada humein ek hone ke liye." Pratap said as he stared at her eyes from the mirror.
"Kabhi hum taiyaar nahin the toh kabhi aap..." She stopped. "Humne aapko bohot kasht pohonchaya hai Kunwar Pratap, hai na?" She turned her face to him and asked him. The pain and guilt was visible in those brown orbs.
Pratap didn't like that guilt and pain in her eyes. Never, he only wanted love and happiness in those beautiful eyes. He pressed her shoulder a little as to give her assurance that it wasn't her fault. The circumstances were not in their favour and nothing else.
"Nahin Ajabde, fir se nahin. aapki koi galti nahin thi Ajabde. Woh toh niyati hi humarein jeewan ke saath khel khel rahi thi aur humare bhawnaao ki parikshya le rahi thi. Ajabde, ab hum unn saari beeti baaton ko bhulana chahte hai. Aur apni jeewan ko ek naye sire se shuru karna chahte hai, jahan sirf aur sirf woh haseen yaadein hongi, koi bhi katu ghatnao ko hum nahin karna chahte yaad. Aur hum chahte hai ki aap bhi aisa hi karein." Pratap said looking into her eyes.
Tears of happiness filled in her eyes. She felt blessed to have someone like Pratap in her life as her life partner. She gave a small nod of agreement.
Pratap smiled and was pleased that everything was cleared now.
"Achha Ajabde, aapne humarein prashn ka uttar nahin diya?" Pratap asked in a mishchevious tone.
"Prashn? Kau...Oh...woh..uh..." Ajabde understood that about which question exactly he was talking.
"Haan woh Kunwar Pratap, humaare kaan ka yeh jhumka humare balon mein fass gaya hai. Issi karan hum isse khol nahin paa rahein the." She said and re-tried to detangle the jhumka from her hair.
"Hum karte hai na aapki sahayta." Saying this he went near her ear and started de tangling it.
"Waise, ek baat kahein Ajabde?"
"Hmmm."
"Aaj aap bohot sundar lag rahi thi Ajabde." Pratap said honestly once again looking at her beautiful reflection in the mirror.
A blush crept across her facehearing him praise her.
"Aur aap humarein baarein kuch nahin kahengi?" He aske expectantly.
"Hum? Aapke baarein mein? Woh..Thik i lag rahein the aap Kunwar Pratap." She said as if he was looking just like he did everyday.
"Achha! Bass THIK? Aur kuch nahin?" Pratap asked in a tone of disbelief.
"Haan, toh?" She asked if it was everything that could be said.
"Yeh lijiye aapka jhumka." Pratap gave her the golden jhumka which he have been successful to detangle from her air and started moving towards the window in an angry way.
Before he could go she held his hand and stopped him.
"Sach kahein Kunwar Pratap..Aap..bohot achhe lag rahein the." She said each an every word in a loving and honest way. The frown in his face changed into a smile.
Ajabde went back to what she was doing. This time it was the necklace. Of course she couldn't open the heavy gold necklace all by herself.
"Kunwar Pratap, kya aap humari yeh haar utaarne mein sahayta karenge." She said while trying to open it by herself.
"Haan haaan kyun nahin, jo aagya kunwarani ji." Pratap said jokkingly.
Ajabde gave him a look of what-was-that and he was like what-did-i do.
Pratap once again went behind her and swiftly shifted her long hair in front, so that he could remove it. Pratap leaned forward and started opened the necklace. His hands lingered on her neck creating a tingling sensation.
'Lijiye. Ho gayi." And he was done.
"Dhanyawaad."
"Waise Ajabde, aapko pata hai humein bohot neend aa rahi hai." Pratap said making his way towards the bed.
"Koyi baat nahin Kunwar  Pratap. Aapko humari pratikshya karne ki aavashyakta nahin hai. Aap so jaiye." Ajabde said taking her cloths from her sandook which have been shifted to Pratap's room, after all it was her room also, now onwards.
"Nahin Ajabde ab humein itni neend bhi nahin aa rahi ki hum aapki pratiksha na kar paaye. Aap jaaiye hum pratiksha karenge aapki." Pratap said opening his pagdi and keeping it on the dressing table.
"Par.."
"Ab par var kuch nahin, jaiye aap." Pratap said.
"Hmm" Ajabde went to the adjacent small room to change the heavy bridal lehenga.
----
Ajabde came out and saw that pratap was standing beside  the window and staring at the night sky.
Ajabde went to where he was standing and tapped him on his shoulder.
"Yeh kya Kunwar Pratap aap ab tak soye nahin?" Ajabde asked him.
"Woh humne kaha tha na hum aapki pratiksha karenge." Pratap said somewhat unmindfully.
"Kya hua Kunwar Pratap? Kya aap ko koi baat pareshaan kar rahi hai?" Ajabde asked sensing that there was something was disturbing Pratap.
"Nahin Ajabde, aisa kuch nahin hai. Koi bhi baat nahin hai." Pratap said in a convincing tone.
"Kunwar Pratap, aap chahe laakh koshish karle parantu aap humse koi baat nahin chupa sakte. Sirf humein nahin, jhooth toh aapko bhi nahin bolna aata Kunwar Pratap...aur woh  bhi humse." Ajabde said.
He sighed. "Ajabde, hum nahin jaante kyun, parantu humein aisasuccessful to detangle from her air and started moving towards the window in an angry way.

Part 2

"Ammi, main kaisi lag rahi hoon? Aapi, main iss dress mein moti toh nahin lag rahi hoon na? Main achhi to lag rahi hoon na? Tamatar, tum toh kuch bolo!!"

Zoya stood in front of the full length mirror adjusting her hair and her red dress. From the past 15 minutes she was looking at her reflection from different positions and angles, trying to figure out whether she was looking good enough. She asked her Ammi (after nikaah, of course she'll call Dilshad ammi na? ;), Aapi and Tamatar about an opinion but no one answered her questions.

Zoya spoke with her eyes fixed on the mirror, "Ammi! Aapi! Tamatar! Kuch toh boliye aap log!" Not getting an answer she turned around to face the trio. Three of them stood there with pained expressions. It was still unbelievable for them that after a few days she won't be there...amongst them. Who will say that she has got merely a few days in her hand? She masked her anguish so effortlessly! It was more painful for them to put on a smile on their faces and behave normally as if everything was perfectly fine...They were doing this, for their Zoya, for Ayaat and for Asad. But still, it was not that easy...

"Allah Miyan! What's wrong with you all? Aap log kuch bol kyun nahin rahein hai?" Zoya asked them and again...no answer. "Okay, I get it. Main achhin nahin lag rahi hoon na? Ya Allah now what shall I do?" Zoya sat down on the chair, quite upset.

"Nahin...nahin Zoya beta...aisa kuch...na..nahin hai..." Dilshad somehow managed to speak. "Tum..tum bohot..."

"AMMI!!!!!!!" Dilshaad was cut off in middle by the shrill voice of Ayaat who just entered the room.

Everyone's gaze shifted to an awestruck Ayaat standing in front of her Ammi.

"Maash allah Ammi!! You are looking sho beautiful!!!" Ayaat exclaimed looking at her Ammi who looked gorgeous in her Red colored gown.

Zoya's face lit up as soon as she heard Ayaat's cute compliment. She smiled widely looking a Ayaat. "Sachhi?"

"Yesh Ammi. Aap bohot Khubshurat lag rahi ho! Abuu she bhi zyada!! Pinkie promish!" Ayaat said. Zoya was overwhelmed by her daughter's cuteness.

"Awww...Ammi loves you so much sweetie!!!"  Saying this she hugs Ayaat tightly."Ayaat lovesh her Ammi too!" comes the cute reply by 5 year old Ayaat. Zoya could not help but kiss her on her chubby cheeks. Tears welled up in her kohl lined eyes. Few more weeks and that was it. She won't ever be able to kiss her little daughter again, hug her Ayaat again. Never would she be able to meet her again. Few more weeks.

The other three were witnessing everything going on in front of them. This only made it harder for them.  Why did Allah have to do this with her? Why? Dilshad didn't fail to notice those tears in Zoya's eyes.

"Zoya beta, I think tumhe neeche jaana chahiye. Asad tumhara intezaar kar raha hoga."

"Yeah..yeah Ammi you are right. Mr. Khan must be waiting for me. I...should go." Zoya composed herself and went down.

With bated breath she stepped in the garden area which was decorated beautifully with lights and flowers, table for two set in middle. And there stood Asad with his back facing her looking somewhat lost. She looked around, and felt wonderful remembering some old moments.

"Mr. Khan..." She called out in sweet voice.

Asad who was lost in his own thoughts, turned around at once hearing soft voice. And as usual, he was left mesmerized by her beauty. She looked breath taking with her face glowing like the moon. He just couldn't take his eyes off her. But what surprised him the most was her dress. Yes, it was the same red gown which he had gifted her...7 years back. She had dressed up just the way she had 7 years ago this very day. He couldn't believe. She had kept with herself all these years! And...she looked just the same, actually, even more. All these years her beauty had only enhanced.

"Beautiful!" Asad exclaimed. Zoya blushed red. Asad took a step closer to her and so did she.

"Thank you." Zoya said softly with her eyes lowered. Asad only stared at her beautiful face. She could feel his burning gaze on her. Zoya looked up and their eyes met. Soon she was lost in those brown orbs of his. But...she could not find that what she expected...after all the pain was too much to overcome. She went a little closer to him and whispered in his eyes. "Asad...live the moment. Please..." Asad gave a small nod and a half smile.

"So, Mr.Khan, aap mujhse kuch puchenge nahin?" Zoya tried to lighten the atmosphere.

"Ummm, jaise ki...?" Asad asked a little confused.

"Allah Miya What's wrong with you Mr. Khan? Main iss dress ki baat kar rahi hoon!"

"Ooo yeah...haan, actually I was going to ask that only. So, where did you buy this dress from, just identical to which I gifted you 7 years back?" Asad said trying to sound surprised. This only earned him an are-you-serious-look' from Zoya.

"Ok, sorry."

"Zoya kya tumne sach mein...iss dress ko sambhaal kar rakh diya tha? And that too...for 7 years..." Asad looked into her eyes just to find them filled with love for the man she loved.

"Yes Mr.Khan. Of course! Kaise nahin rakhti? After yeh Jahpannah ki firs gift thi kaneez ke liye...i mean the first western dress!!!! Honesty, I was really surprised because maine toh saree hi expect ki thi. Isn't that obvious? What else can you expect from a man stuck in 16th Century?" Zoya rolled her eyes as she recollected the old memories- the typical 16th Century Akdu Ahmed Khan. This brought a smile to his face too when he remembered his old self, though Zoya was still the same.

Zoya continued "Aur...iske saath meri iss special day ki yaadein bhi toh judi hui hai..." The sparkle in those eyes where clearly visible.

Asad now took a step backward and extended his hand for her and she gladly accepted letting him to lead her to the table. Finally she was going to relive that magical evening, re-experience that magical feeling once again!

Asad pulled the chair for her to sit and then he took a seat in front of her. In the dinner plates it was none other than her favorite...PIZZA, though his plate had pasta as he preferred it more than pizza(LOL).

Both started having their respective foods glancing at each other every now and then. Silence was something Zoya Farooqui (Yes, for now we consider her as Zoya Farooqui coz yeh baat hai saat saal pehle ki ;) could not tolerate.

"Mr. Khan, yeh bhala kaun si baat hui?"

"Jee?"

"Haan! Khud toh bara gentleman samajhe hai aur itna bhi nahin pata ki jab do log EK SAATH dinner kar rhaein ho toh tdishes alag nahin honi chahiye! Aapne mujhe Pizza aur apne aap ke lie Pasta ka arrangement kiya?"

"So? What's wrong in that? I thought you like Pizza."

"Allah Miyan What's wrong with you Mr. Khan? If I'm having Pizza then you too should have that only na?"

"No way. Miss Farooqui Pasta is much better and healthier than your special-extra-cheese-pizza'! Aur apne socha bhi kaose I'll eat that?"

"What? Pasta is BETTER and HEALTHIER than Pizza? Aapka matlab hai what I'm eating is not worth eating? Thik hai toh phir. Kariye aap apne pasta ke saath candle light dinner, aur waise bhi I'm sure ki jo baat aapko mujhsey kahni thi woh aap apna healthy dinner finish karne ke baad, perhaps kal bhi keh sakte hai (So you all must remember our silly Zoe's assumptions when Asad made arrangements in their garden area to confess his feelings to her. She thought he was going to break their nikaah. Silly girl LOL!)" An irritated Zoya got up from the chair and turned around to leave when Asad with a swift movement got up from the chair and held her wrist to stop her there in her tracks. She looked back and again their eyes met. Asad pulled her towards himself making her soft body collide with his hard one as one of his hand slid around his waist.

"Nahin Miss Farooqui. Aaj main aapko apni dil ki baat bataye bina jaane nahin doonga." He whispered in a husky voice near her ear. She closed her eyes and waited for him to speak further. Though she knew what was to come next, still she could feel the same nervousness and excitement.

Asad took one look at her beautiful face and then took out the Rose from his court pocket.

"Mai yeh baat aapko bohot dino se batana chah raha tha but couldn't do so." Zoya opened her eyes. "Kahiye Mr. Khan. I'm waiting."

Asad bent on his knees and held the Rose forward. "Jo kabhi socha bhi na tha, woh na jaane kaise sach ho gaya. Mujhey mohabbat ho gaya. Miss Zoya Farooqui, I love you. Mohabbat toh mujhey aap se ussi din ho gaya tha, jis din maine aapko pehli baar Dargah mein dekha tha. Aur yeh Nikaah, jo meri zindagi ka sabse bara jhooth tha, woh meri zindagi ka sabse bara sach ban gaya hai."

Asad took a deep breath and looked at Zoya. She stood there spell bound. All this had happened once, but still it felt as a first experience, first love and the same excitement. A small blush crept across her fair cheeks.

"I know 3 din baad hi humara Nikaah hai but still, Miss Zoya Farooqui will you be Mrs. Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan and make me the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?" He looked up for her to say something. Zoya took the rose from him and smiled widely.

"I love you too Mr. Khan. Mujhey nahin pata kab aur kaise, mujhey  mere Jahapanah Six Packs se mohabbat ho gayi. I...I love you Mr.Khan."

Zoya hugged him as Asad encircled his arms around her. She rested her head in his neck. Reminiscing those past memories gave an inexpressible pleasure. She felt as if she had rode back to that particular day in a time machine...everything seemed so fresh in their minds...

"Mr.Khan, don't you think you are forgetting something?" Zoya asked softly tightening the hug.

"Not at all...Miss. Farooqui..." Asad replied in a knowing tone. He broke the hug. "Wait a minute."

Zoya found Asad going towards the table and after a few seconds music started playing. It was that very song on which they had danced that evening.

Lag jaa gale ke phir hassi raat ho na ho

Shayad phir se janam mein mulakaat ho na ho

Lag jaa gale...

"Miss Farooqui, will you dance with me?" Asad extended his hand for Zoya. When she had first heard him asking her to dance with her in this song, she had felt weird for she found it somewhat inappropriate for dancing but hadn't complained. And now, she was too overwhelmed with emotions to say anything. She took his hand and nodded her head slightly in agreement.
