I rarely get emotional after reading a post. Your writing did that to me. The thought that the twins in their tragic young lives willingly took the full brunt of the evil that was destined for their parents, is a tear invoking thought.

As you said, there are pearls there if you know where to look. The respect that Jodha and Jalal have for each other's culture and traditions, is a microcosm of the India of the future. The India of our dreams, strong, prosperous and at peace with it's neighbors. Respect for differing opinions is the most important step in that.

@blue: Wonderfully expressed sentiments! πŸ‘

@bold: This is the biggest compliment for me. Thank you! πŸ˜Š

You know even now if any Muslim twin boys born, most parents tend to name them Hassan and Hussain...it is like a culture...16th century mein yeh toh zyada tha.

JJ have come a long way..they both respect each other's culture and also accepted them as their own wholeheartedly...what they did in that era is still rare in today's date.

Such scenes make me feel very proud.

Regarding Ruqaiyya, she can be anywhere near JJ but she can never enter their world.

Tamy,

Thanks!

Radhika ,
Wonderful post .You are one diver ,who  dives in the sea of JA to find the pearls ,so unlike many of us who crib that something was not good somewhere.Seeing always the good side of everything  is a great quality.Hats off to you and Abhay for having it.
Your title " oyster and pearl" reminded of an maternity hospital in my hometown ,Pune ,which has the same name. The concept is mother as an oyster ,who protects the pearl inside her that is the baby .Here today ,I want to call Jalal as an oyster who is trying to protect his pearl ,who is in his heart , that is his Jodha.Yes when he protects her ,automatically  he is protecting the babies too which are in her womb.
We could see how worried he was for her ,when he saw Resham coming to her room or the surang being found to her room .We can recall the conversation they had when he came to know about her pregnancy. He    was angry with her as she went to war in this condition. He told her that he can't live if something happens to her or the baby.
He knows Jodha's habit of inviting trouble. Her this habit is his main worry.😊For this very reason in the Aatifa track he kept her away from all the trouble. When Khyber kidnapped her ,we could see his condition. The fear he had in his eyes that ,will he loose her?
Why did he decide to send Maham away ? First he doesn't want Jo to get into trouble because of Maham .He doesn't want MA even trying to hurt Jo either mentally or physically.Right now,MA is not in good mental condition. In such scenario, the particular person can hurt somebody physically too,We saw how she flung the thali that hurt Jo.She could have even pushed jo and looking at both's body structure ,this would have been dangerous to Jo.Again MA is continuously coughing. So there is a fear of contagious diseases which are not good for Jo right now.And when Jo takes up something she doesn't sit quiet ,These all are the reasons of Maham being send to Delhi.Look how he is protecting her.πŸ˜›
I love this Jalal for whom ,his Jo has finally taken precedence .

Radhika I have read your thread before but couldn't reply as I am really sick... I will write about Hassan and Hussain tomorrow but as of now I am copy pasting my thoughts on today's episode which I have written in Maddys thread..

When two hearts gets united they do not need
any words to communicate... What one heart
feels is understood by the other without even
uttering a single word... Jalal and Jodha had
time and again showed it.. Jalal knows Jodha
and her big and compationate heart he knows
she can go to any extent to do good for
everybody but in this Maham Anga's case he
may not say it but he very well knows that
whatever she is doing, she is doing for his sake
only... Jalal knows that Jodha is not helping the
woman who cursed their children or who plotted
against her husband or had once tried to
separate her from her beloved... But she is
helping her husbands mother who once risked
everything including her own life to save her
husbands life... Who once ignored her own son
just rare up her husband.. Who made him
capable enough to be a Sahensha... Jalal knows
this time Jodha is not helping some needy but
she is helping the person who was once his Badi
Ammi... And this time she is not helping Maham
Anga but is doing all this for him, his happiness,
and his peace...
And even Jodha knows even though he is angry
and hurt because of Maham Anga but
somewhere in his heart he still loves his Badi
Ammi and Still cares for her... She knows he will
break down the day Maham Anga breaths her
last.. That is why she tried to give some peace
to her in her last days as it will also give some
satisfaction to Jalal that even though not directly
but indirectly He was able to take care of his
mother And if this much satisfaction she can
give her she is ready to do anything for that...
A perfect dance performance needs perfect
blend of music, sur. Raag and taal with perfect
expression, mudra and adawu( step) and in this
most is the perfect synchronisation between taal
and Adawu if even single Adawu doesn't match
with The Taal then The whole dance gets
spoiled... Similarly in a husband wife relationship
love, trust. Faith and understanding are those
quality... And understanding is that match of taal
and Adawu if there is no understanding between
a couple then their relationship does not have a
smooth run. Jalal and Jodha has touched that
perfect synchronisation of understanding and this
is going to take their realtionship in that heaven
of eternal bliss and happiness... Where they will
together dance in both happy as well as sad tune
as provided by their Guru i.e. God...
