India forums Telly Awards Coming Soon!!!

Hi Friends,

Thanks Ivan for giving the idea.

Well as we all know today India Forums is #1 site on Indian Television serials and also the biggest online community of Indian TV viewers. Its high time that we should also host our very own Telly Awards to honour and appreciate the hard work and talent of our favorite tv shows and everyone associated with the Indian TV Industry ranging from TV actors/ directors/channels/script writers, everyone.

How we are planning to do it:

a) Finalize on the award categories recieved from members

To get started here are my list (since mods are handling this even my list can be edited):

- Best Actor
- Best Actress
- Best Director
- Best Serial on Indian Television
- Best Channel
- Favorite Characters
- Best Actor in Villainous Role
- Best Comedy Show
- Best Family Drama
- Best Story
- Most loved character but director/producer spoiled the role.
- Best new comer

-Best supporting actress

-Best supporting actor

-Best Jodi

-Best Chotta Bachha

-Best Chat Show

-Best Saas

-Best Bahu

-Best Beti

-Best Comic Actor (Male)

-Best Comic Actor (Female)

-Best theme song

b) We will put up all the categories and will take the list of your favorite characters. It do not have to be in the same format like other award shows.

c) Voting. During the voting process we might not disclose who is leading or who is losing. The voting will continue for around 15-20 days.

d) Results will be announced .

We are trying to put up a totally unbiased Telly Awards.

Depending on the response and success of the IF Telly Awards we can have it as a Half Yearly event.

We need your suggestions!!! 😊

Good idea, Vijay!  My question is will these awards be a combined venture for all the shows such as StarPlus, Zee, etc.?  The reason I ask is what if people don't watch certain shows.. won't it more of popularity awards then?! 😕

Well we will be working that out and it will require some custom programming.

a) Well we will make sure that multiple voting is not happening.

b) Maybe we decide on a minimum number of posts that a member needs to make to participate in the voting.

c) Spammers votes will be cancelled.

Thats all good but I still feel it's not really fair cuz what if an actor is good but just cuz its not a highly watched show, the actor doesn't really get the recognition?!

this may not be fair on the part of those who love to be a part of IF

but wont be able to vote if they dont have a minimum no of posts which

you are thinking of introducing.as a result those people may lose

interst towars IF.also there are people who know hell a lot about the serials but are new and may not have that minimum no of posts.

plz take into consideration the feelings of such people.

plz give thought to my thought
