Saroj Khan is peeved at Tanaaz-Bakhtyaar's dance performance in 'Nach Baliye'

Getting blasted by the judges of 'Nach Baliye2' (Star One) was the last thing that Tanaaz Lal and Bakhtyaar Irani would have expected after giving ace performances every week ever since the series began.

Whilst speaking on their performance, Saroj Khan says fumingly, "It was too hard hitting! It was loud and vulgar, to say the least! After weeks of entertaining us with perfect performances, their regional dance was shocking. A symbol of welcome, 'Vanakam', that is sacred to South India cannot be rehashed and mixed with dance forms of other regions of India. Added to that, Bakhtyaar's frontal pelvic movements along with lewd faces were too much to digest. All three of us –Kunal (Kohli), Malaika (Arora Khan) and myself- turned to look at each other with shock at the very same moment."

Saroj adds, "Also, Tanaaz took a lift and stood on Bakhtyaar's thigh and she had one finger in the air, which is a step synonymous to bhangra."

Saroj says, "It is their overconfidence that has been their downfall this time. They are not novices; they know what they should and should not do. They overdid all the steps as if to show that they had more energy than other jodis. To make matters worse, Tanaaz broke down in the green room and apologised to Bakhtyaar for letting him down. But to our surprise, Bakhtyaar calmly replied, "Its okay, we are the best!" and we three judges just laughed at his folly for not understanding how badly they had let us down with this performance. Had it been from any other jodi, we would not have been as surprised. "

On how the first edition of the show was different from this, Saroj says, "We were all very raw in the first series. Now, there is fierce competition between good dancers."

Saddened by the fact that Shweta-Raja had to drop out, the three judges are keen to have Narayani-Gaurav back into the contest. "They should be given a chance as they were undoubtedly the best dancers and we have conveyed the same to the channel. Let's see what they decide," ends Saroj.
