Hi Friends,

I have always been fascinated by Mobiles and other Techology gadgets since childhood. There has been a sea change in Mobile Technology.

I have been working on various technologies like WAP, SMS, Bluetooth, Java Games for the past 5 years and its now seems to be impossible to keep up with the pace its moving.

Mobile Technology is a happening thing and it has already reached out to the masses.

The worse thing that really makes me sad is the high cost the different companies charges for simple things like Ringtones, Wallpapers and others stuffs. Even SMS is so costly http://www.expressindia.com/fe/daily/20000927/fco27018.html

Recently I acquired a Nokia 6681 and was like why not start a Indian Mobile Community for Mobile users where people can share/download Ringtones, Wallpapers, Mobile Videos, Mobile Games and above all with a feature which could allow members to send FREE SMS to anywhere in the world.

I have already got the domain: http://www.gsmworld.in and also working on the site design part.

To commence with I already have got 5 GB of Mobile java games, wallpapers, ringtones and loads of experience. I have been working on Mobile Technologies like WAP and SMS projects for various companies. And was leading the team which made the First Auction Engine for a B2B portal on WAP in India in 2000. (you think I am bragging )

I know its not an easy task but if we have a good team we can surely make the biggest online portal on Mobiles.

See I just dont want to start for the sake of starting. So I would need a great team before we really plan it out and you can also really help us build it. You do not have to be an expert in mobile related stuff. Owning a mobile is good enough.

And Vijay, this is a great idea...  I am myself a mobile lover.. actually a gizmo lover... and a nokia fan... 

For some strange reason, despite Nokia being one of the most popular mobile phones in India, the nokia club does not offer much to Indian market.

And things like games etc. offered by service providers and others, as u rightly said, its too expensive...  So this thing, once it takes off, will be a great thing...

I'd love to help out in any way I can...  I am a mobile..actually a NOKIA bhakt...  so anything for the mobiles.
