The music banged as Pratham drove his car to Harrods.
Shopping was always fun for Gauri. And today was a very special day for her. It was her boyfriend's birthday. What better reason to buy herself some outfits. She wanted to look the best in the party. After all she was Gauri Singhania.
Pratham on the other hand hated shopping. How can someone spend so much time doing rounds and rounds of all the 7 floors of Harrods? When they can just chill out at some other place in the city. He would rather go on dates with some irritating girl than get tagged along with Gauri while shopping. She was always confused with what to take and what not to. And whenever she would go with Pratham, at the end of the day he would go bonkers. She couldn't just decide on one dress. And then after eating half of his brains, she would decide to take them all what she liked.
Most importantly, he couldn't understand why was she so excited about this whole birthday thingy. He knew she would dump her so called current biyfriend in no time, so what was all this 'my boyfriend's birthday excitement' show-off for?
Unlike him, she did not believe in love, neither in commitment nor in long term relationships any more. Sometimes he thought that he didn't know Gauri at all. Those grey eyes were just so mysterious that people couldn't get anything out of them. Even though they were best friends, Gauri would always be the 'Mystery Woman' for him. Sometimes he felt he knew her inside out and sometimes he felt he didn't know her at all. This mysterious nature of her always confused him. Women. He would never understand any woman completely. He thought he understands Gauri but at this moment he didn't understand her at all. Rather he was getting more confused right now thinking all these stuff.
Shaking all thoughts from his head he put his attention back at his best friend and companion. No matter what he knew she would always be there for him and he also knew he wouldn't be able to live without her and neither could she. Smiling to himself he went back to notice what Gauri was pouting at.
"Prathammmm!! Dude you are of no help!"
"Now you know? I've been telling you this all my life…but I still don't know why you bring me along with you whenever you shop…I even don't buy my own stuff and tell you to buy them for me and you bring me along with you every time when you know I AM OF NO HELP!"
"Come on Pratham…you know how important your approval is for me!"
"As if you even ask me what you should buy! Plus at the end of the day you'll be taking all these I know…still why spend so much time on choosing?"
"Can't you even understand that it is important to me that you stay by my side when I'm deciding on something…when you're with me it seems easier…and not just in choosing dresses…life seems easy and beautiful when you are there with me Pratham…the only problem is that you don't know how important you are in my life…without you I cant live…let alone live, I think I can't even take one step in my life without you," she finished off smiling and a peck on his cheek.
Pratham stood there taken aback by her words. He watched her go pick out some more dresses. But his eyes never left her. He stared at her. Suddenly he felt all so special. And he felt content. Why was it that Gauri's words meant so much for him? Those words from her made him feel content with life. As if he had waited all his life to hear these words from Gauri. He felt happy and he felt like giving her a hug.
Walking straight upto her, he hugged her. Tight. As if trying to protect her from all the harm in the world.
Gauri was shocked by Pratham's sudden display of emotions. Feeling his warmth embrace she hugged him back. She knew that Pratham was quite taken aback by the words she told him a minute ago. She saw it in his eyes. But those words were true. Right from her heart. She just couldn't imagine her life without her best friend.
Her Pratham. She knew that he will always be there for her, whenever she would need him. His shoulders always there when she felt like crying, his arms always there to hold her close and hug her, trying to protect her from the whole world, his smile would be there to brighten her day, his filthy jokes on her were there to make her angry and there were his weird ways to again make her smile and laugh. This was Pratham Mittal for her.

yeah her fan fic is really adicted and very different from other fan fic, well, I've hardly read any other but I tried reading but nothing got me adicted like this😆
