Madhu, can you tell me any good romantic stories which, i can read as a recommandation. Or a crime or action based story.

Good thinking Madhu - right now, i am reading
The Afghan by Frederic Forsyth - I looked around
for this book for a long time here in Malaysia but
was told "sold out" all the time!!! Managed to buy
it at Amsterdam airport 2 wks back at last!!! gripping
tale, with so much details - should finish in a day or
two and I will give a synopsis. Any Archer fans here???
- "As the crow flies" - is my all time favourite!!!

RojaAAAAAAA............ my brother, sister and myself are Archer's fans.   😉 All the books I have read are favourites.

The Afghan sounds interesting. I should jot down in my diary, potential book to read.

Thanks for starting this thread Madhu.

I have read the Kite Runner as well Mahdu. Excellent book by an author from Afghanistan.   👏 👏 👏

Awwwwwwwww Caryn, who can write another Kane and Abel or
a Prodigal daughter??? This guy is amazing!!! I also like Grisham,
may be because I wanted to be a lawyer!!! I read "The King of Torts"
recently by Grisham - excellent. The street Lawyer and The Chamber
are worth reading too.

That is true Roja. I like Grisham too. But only problem, it is always about a run down, poor young lawyer, who makes it big by taking on unusual story. I have read the Chambers.

I cannot remember the name of Grisham's book, but do you remember about the book where the grandson tries to save the grandfather who belonged KKK. He bombed the black lawyer's office and the children died because of it. It was suspenseful.

in that case roj, you should read another author called Brad meltzer. his books are better than grisham...though they both write about law. meltzer's stories are way different from one another. and the language is good too...

Oh really?? will make a note and look for his books.
It is difficult to find English books here - best
sellers or some thing very popular is stocked. Would u
believe that I had to hunt for The Afghan?? now I know
why I did not get it here - book talks about this place
being a part of money and other transactions for terrorists!!!

well, I just got the list of books by Brad Meltzer -
will look for them, thanks Jas.
