What is the true meaning of Diwali?
The Festival of Diwali means "row of lamps", during this time, Goddess Lakshmi visits your home to bless you with the true "Lakshmi's" of life - health, wealth and happiness. Lamps or "Diyas" are lit so that Mata Lakshmi Ji can find her way to your home. Also on this day, Ram Chander Ji and Mata Sita Ji returned to the city of Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. When they entered this city, it was dark however lamps were lit to welcome them.
