 A healthy, cheap, fun form of transport and recreation that everybody can enjoy!

The bicycle, more commonly known as bike, is a pedal-driven, human powered vehicle with two wheels, one behind teh other, attached to a frame. The bicycle was first used as a mode of transport in 19th century Europe and is now one of the principle modes of transport in countries such as China and the Netherlands.
Healthy and Fun.Cycle and get fit. The ideal sport to improve your figure and your health. The saddle carries your body weight, taking the strain off your heart, circulation and joints. It's an ideal opportunity to build up your muscles. Cycling at a speed of 20 km/h burns off approximately 500 calories an hour. Regular exercise strengthens the heart and improves circulation. As well as being an exhilarating and enjoyable activity, biking through the countryside with family, friends or neighbours also stabilises your vegetative nervous system.
In Singapore, families and children can be seen cycling in parks and along the coastlines when it is sunny. Also, in France, The Tour de France is held annually in july to entice world-class sports cyclists to participate in a cycling competition around the vineyards of France. It is a month-long event that attracts tourists and cycling enthusiasts to the beautiful country of France every year.

An Ecologically Friendly Mode of Transport. Cycling is good for the environment. By going to work, school or the shops by bike, you are helping to reduce pollution levels. The bicycle is an economical, energy-efficient mode of transport. It does not create climate-warming carbon dioxide, traffic noise or irritating tailbacks like motorized vehicles do. Cycling facilities take up far less public space.
