I like this serial because of its very calm and family storyline.
Chandramohan (CM)(Abishek) is a businessman. He is a straightforward and kindhearted person. He came from a very poor family. His wife Raji is also a kind hearted and very loyal wife to him. They have 5 children. First son Gautham, he was missing for past few months. His wife name is Gauri and daughter Manju. He was a very brilliant and Managing Director of the Chandramohan's company. Second son, Dinesh. Wife Sangeetha. Third son Vikram always listens to his Mama (Mother's brother) who always gives selfish and useless ideas. He wants his daughter Madhu to get married to Vikram. Fourth son, Santhosh. Fifthe daughter, Mallika is always a college student and obedient to her parents.
Saranya is the first graduate from a village wants to study further. But her parents want her to get married soon. They fix her marriage with her uncle son (Peria Mama). First she disagrees but after talking to her Chinna Mama about her further studies she agrees for the marriage. The marriage was fixed. In the meantime she applies for the higher studies.
Oneday Saranya's would be invites her for the movie. As Saranya was not interested to go with him before marriage he gets angry and rides his bike very fast and results in an accident. Saranya takes him to the hospital and there she finds her mama is infected with AIDS. So she goes to his house to stop the marriage. When she was telling the infection thinking that she was talking to her Peria Mama but it was only heard by china Mama. He begs her not to reveal this truth to anybody and promises her to help her. On the day of marriage Saranya runs out of the house. The entire family hates her for doing this. They all think that she ran with the professor, who guides her for higher studies.
In Chennai, she was searching for the job. That time she accidentally meets CM and his wife in a temple. By the recommendation of Raji, saranya gets the Job in CM's office. By her intelligence she become the MD of the Company. CM and Raji believe Saranya very much. She also takes the responsibility given to her and works very hard to bring the company to higher level. All the employees in the company respect her very much. But CM's sons 2-4 get angry.
One day Saranya meets her mother in public place get shocked to see her mother without a kumkum in her forehead. But her mother went off without listening to Saranya.
Saravana (Saranya's younger brother saravana (Prabhakar)) as inspector comes to CM's office to investigate about Gautham. He enquires all the members of the staff. And visits Gautham's cabin. While he was about to leave Saranya comes out of the her cabin. When he asks CM why he was not allowed to enquire her CM simply says that she joined this office only after the disappearance of Gautham. But Sarvan says 'everyone cannot be believed'. He leaves the place with angry. After that Saranya wants to see the picture of Gautham and the manager takes her to the room and shows the picture. She got shocked.
Next day Saranya decides to surrender. While she is leaving to police station her professor comes to her house. His children wants spend time with Saranya. So they leave them with her. They are planning to visit place for the purchase. So Saranya tells the servant to take care of the children and leaves to the CM's office to give the resignation letter. Since CM was not there she just keeps the letter on the CM table and leaves the office after informing the manager about the letter to CM.
She goes to her brother's police station. But he is not there so she writes a letter. While she came to Chennai one person try to misbehave with her. To eascape from him she just pushed him away and that person fell on the railway track and the train came. She ran from the spot. Before he could mention the Gautham name she receives the phone call from the hospital saying the professor met with an accident. So she leaves the police station immediately.
In the office Dinesh was happy about the resignation. In the police staion Saravana throws the paper in the dustbin after reading the letter.
The professor dies and his wife become unconscious. Professor asks Saranya to raise his children as his last wish. CM and Raji come to Saranya's house and consoles her invites her to join the office again.
Saranya and CM are walking in the beach. They are seeing Saravana's family doing kariyam for their father. Saranya's mothers show indirect angry on Saranya. Saranya leaves her visiting card in the beach sand for her sister viji. She picks it up and calls her the next day. Viji tells her that their father died after she ran out of the house on marriage and peria Mama also committed suicide.
Santhosh meets Viji in the several times and falls in love with her. Seeing this Saravana arrests santhosh. Saranya releases him. Santhosh understands Saranya and asks for her support in his future and love. Saranya advises santhosh and gets him a job. With the help of Saranya, santhosh and viji meets several times.
In the meantime, through Gautham wife police finds he has bad habbits like meeting girls. The day of missing also he anxiously waits for some phone call. One girl (X I didn't remember her name) who was supposed to with Gautham on that day and the man who supplied that girl said that she saw a girl leaving with them in the car. They decided to get money from Saranya by blackmailing. They also give the wrong photo identification to the Police. They collects 5 laks from Saranya. But the X was greedy and invites her uncle to help in this matter and remove the man (Y) from the scene. Her uncle try kill Y. Saranya saves Y and he helps Saranya and stays with her. While X's uncle asks for money from CM stating that he knows the truth about Gautham, Y attacks him and makes unconscious. Knowing this Saranya sends him out of the house.
Meanwhile CM & Raji approaches Viji's house and asks for the girl. But they refuse stating the reason Saranya. But Santhosh and Viji decide to get married. They go to Thiruthani along with the CM's staff and well wisher of Saranya. But viji gets chicken box. After getting the news from Balaji, Saranya comes to the Thituthani. There she meets her china Mama who is in Navy. Both search for the SV and find them in a house. Meantime Saravana also come there with his mother. They all get angry on Saranya. Saranaya stands there with tears. Her Mama broke the real story. Only because of him she was quiet and also his brother committed suicide for his disease not for Saranya running out of the marriage. They all get united.
The Y'uncle gets conscious and escapes from the hospital. Marriage was fixed for Santhosh with Viji and Vikram with Madhu (his mama's daughter). Saranya decided to surrender after the marriage. So she prepares everything ready in office. But Gauri came to know about the murder of her husband and the murderer. So she decided to stop the marriage. But Saranya's mama and Y lock her in a house. But she escapes from their meanwhile Saravana gets the clue through the chain dollar, which is found with professors son. His mother says this is the dollar she took it from Saranya's house and gave to him. This matches with the Gautham's dollar so he suspects Saranya. Meanwhile Gauri also confirms it. So he arrests Saranya by the time the marriage was over. She also accepts the crime. Raji dies in shock.
CM sends Viji out of his house so Santhosh also moves out. Viji goes to her mother's house and Santhosh to his friend's home.
Saravana, mother and Viji ask the reason behind the murder but Saranya refuse to tell the truth. And also gets the promise from her mama not to tell the truth. Without knowing the truth Saranya's family struggle to take her out of the jail in bail. One Lawyer, Balaji's brother helps them. Dinesh and Vikram blackmail them and also give money to X & her uncle to tell the strong lies. Public prosecutor also mislead by the lies of Vikram's Uncle. So that Saranya will be hanged. CM is also angry on Saranya.
Meanwhile Sangeetha & Madhu fights for the MD post in CM's office. But Sangeetha refuses. So Madhu leaves Vikram.
In the court, Sarnaya accepts the murder but refuses to tell the reason behind the murder. Without Gautham's body and proper evidences Sarnaya is released in bail. She decides to reveal the truth only to CM. So she goes to the office. But Dinesh & Co sends her out of the office. Next she writes the letter. Sends through a staff to CM. But Dinesh reads it. He tries to hide it because CM will forgive Saranya if he reads the reason behind the murder. But before hiding CM comes in. so leaves the letter there. He finds the person, who kept the letter there and sends him out of the office. Meanwhile Vikram's Mama fixes a person to kill Saranya in an accident. But Saranya escapes with injuries.
Dilip is working under a rowdy who saved his life. He does rowdy work in Delhi for good cause. He forgot the past. He resembles Gautham. Sophna is his girl friend. In a political fight his gang was targeted with encounter order. So he escapes to Chennai and stays with Sophna's relative.
Saranya & Viji goes to Bank get money for Santhosh's business. There she sees Dilip talking to the Bank Manager. She calls her brother and informs it. But before she could near Dilip he goes out in an auto. Saravana enquires the Bank Manager.
Gauri's marriage was fixed. Meantime Manju meets Dilip while she is playing outside of her house. She calls Gauri and informs about this. But before they are unable to trace him. So Gauri scolds Maju for misidentifying her father. While playing in a park with Gauri's would be Maju again see Dilip sitting in a bench. Dilip also goes to various places of city so that someone will be able to identify him. One day he and his friend helps Vikram who is drunk and lying in the middle of the road. He takes him to CM's house but he leaves without seeing CM.
Meanwhile Saravana enquires all the auto drivers with the Dilip picture with identification given by Saranya. One auto driver who helped Dilip to drop Vikram identifies and shows the house of Dilip. Dilip misunderstood the inspector and hides behind a well. He also decided to leave that area. He thinks Delhi police are searching for him. He hides the Gold inside the well. He has to return the gold to his Boss. He takes the video of the location before leaving that place.
Mean while Sangeetha accepts to leave the MD post to Madhu and Gauri's marriage arrangements are in progress. THODARUM…
