Back injury forces Nishant to stop shoot of Ram Milaayi Jodi..

Tellybuzz was the first to report about Nishant Malkani planning to quit the Zee TV show, Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi, and the reason cited was his Bollywood aspirations. However, we now hear that the actor has been forced to stop his shoot for the show owing to a
back injury sustained during his workout in the gym.

A little birdie tells us, "Nishant is no more shooting for Ram Milaayi Jodi; he is in his hometown Delhi and is recovering from the back injury. His spine is swollen and the doctors have advised him to take adequate bed rest".

The production house has been looking for a replacement for Nishant ever since he put his papers after bagging a Bollywood movie. Recently there were talks of either Hasan Zaidi or Puru Chibber of Khhote Sikkey fame being the firm favorites for the role. However, the channel and production house we hear, have approached Karan Wahi, Kinshuk Mahajan and Angad Hasija to play Anukalp.

We contacted Rajita Sharma,  Producer of the show, and she said, "Nishant is on medical leave; he has some back injury and the doctor has advised him to take complete bed rest. We are in  touch with Nishant and would see how he progresses. If the recovery takes time, we will look for a replacement because without a hero, the show cannot be taken forward. Having said this, we will try to delay this development as long as we can as Nishant is just on a medical leave now".

Nishant Malkani told us, "I am currently recovering from the back injury, and am trying to get fit as soon as possible".

We contacted Karan Wahi, who told us, "Yes I was approached for the role but nothing is confirmed yet".

We tried calling Kinshuk Mahajan and Angad Hasija, but could not get through to them.

While the future of Anukalp hangs in balance, we wish Nishant a speedy recovery...
