actually, for as long as the format for television shows remain the same (shows last for as long as TRP's are high), then we will continually see a lot of shows coming and going. mostly going. the format should be changed. once a week, and shows SHOULD already have a definite duration for running. no extensions, no cutting short. it should be once a week, about an hour long. also, the shows should be on primetime. if this format is followed, then viewers will not feel that the storyline is going nowhere, or everywhere, or they will not feel cheated once the show ends because that is the time the show is supposed to end anyway. TRP's will matter only in terms of which production house will be given a chance to produce a show for the station, and which actors the production houses will get because they are bankable stars. i don't know... but this is just a suggestion. i find that many shows are wasted because they are made to last longer than their shelf lives, or they are made short just because of low TRP's (even if they are actually good shows).
