Gulfam Khan quits Diya Aur Baati!
Unsatisfied with the role, the actress leaves the show...

Gulfam Khan who essayed Meenakshi's (Kanica Maheshwari) mother in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum has bid adieu to the show. According to her, the character for which she was brought in has nothing to do in the show.Let's hear it from her. Gulfam shares, "When I took up the show, I was told that I would essay Meenakshi's mother in the show who is very cruel and negative. I was also told that there would be a lot to do in the show and as the story proceeds, she would also turn negative with a major dramatic track in the story. But since I have joined the show, I have hardly shot for 6 days in these months and that too nothing major."
"The directors have no idea about my character and each director has a different story to tell me about my role. I think my talent has been misused, I mean not used actually for the show. I also started getting messages from my fans about why I was doing Diya Aur Baati Hum. It somewhere hurt me and I realized that if I am not satisfied with my work, its better I quit the show. Therefore, three days back I had put in my papers and now I am serving my period, "adds Gulfam.
Gulfam further states, "I never worked for money but if someone gives work, they should make sure that the talent is used properly."

Dear Anas & Deepika, Happy holy & good luck for SPA - both of you looked amazing in the promo shoot - you two were dazzling together. Do not want to say anything about today's episode. How can a mother be so low & mean to probe into her son & DIL's intimate & personal space. Not all man are animal to invade their wives as soon they are married - they have to built a friendship before they get intimate! Any way one way bhabo is determined to through out Sandya & the other way she wants her to get pregnant? Make up your mind - or will Bhabo get more sadistic satisfaction to through out a pregnant girl out of her marriage. I think only Sandya's decent upbringing wanted to spare Suraj from the humiliation. CVs you have been delivering lot of good messages including the recent health & safety (well done to you). However what sort of message you want to deliver with this vile dogma!

She will be missed but job satisfaction is at most important..If she doesn't feel satisfied of what she has been doing as an actor in DABH then its better to quit. All the best for your future Gulfamji..

No offense, but looks like starry tantrums to me. Remember she's working in Talash, maybe she was reqd to give dates there & therefore chose this method to leave the show. Too bad she couldn't wait, after all everyone gets to strike the poor lead pair turn-by-turn. Her turn hadn't come yet.
