Sonia Singh was the first choice to play Richa Thakaral in Parichay...

Colors' Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka recently took a nine year leap with a major twist being a highlight. Richa Thakral is seen in a different yet positive look after the leap handling the Chopra family. Sonia Singh who is playing the character of Richa replaced Mona Wasu. But many are unaware that she was the first choice for the role.

When we contacted Sonia, she said, " Yes I was the first choice for the role. It so happened that I had given my look test but after that I didn't received a call from them. I thought they must have finalized someone else. But at the back of my mind I wanted to do this show. I then signed Rajshri's Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Before doing so I had messaged the production house of Parichay about the same. However, I didn't get a reply from the them immediately. After a while I did get a call to act in Parichay but I was already committed to Rajshri. But later on when they contacted me again for the I immediately grabbed the opportunity to play the role of Richa".

I really don't understand what's wrong with 18 years leap. Pavitra Rishta is doing decent after taking such leap. There wasn't any leap needed in Parichay. But if leap has to be taken I prefer 18 years leap. I feel currently Parichay is like Parvarish type terrible children show. Go ahead if want to press dislike but it's my opinion...

Sonia Singh is HOTT. I've not seen a more beautiful girl than her. Why u even compare Sonia with Mona? Mona has more fotos & videos but Sonia has 5-6 times more fan following, check profile. Sonia is a 3 times best actress nominated TV Super-Star. Sonia is feminine & has natural beautiful hair and natural nose whereas... Jusss love Sonia... TRP went high only Becoz of Sonia. She is the first choice bcoz she is First Class. A girl with a Class & attitude. Ppl watch Parichay only Becoz of Sonia. Ppl who talk against Sonia r jealous of her natural dew-drop beauty!! :)

Thnx4 the post. So Sonia Singh is the first choice. She is best among the best. She is very very good in looks & acting. I don't like Mona as she is a Tom-boy with non-feminine looks. Thanks for getting Sonia back. I watch Parichay only & only because of Sonia. Her beauty is Heavenly, angelic.

I don't like Sonia as Richa at all. 1st Richa was the best for me, Madhurima Tuli. As for Parichay, I think it would have been better if it took 18 years leap with adult children like Pavitra Rishta...
