Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum on Star Plus by Hats Off Products is completing 100 episodes tonight. The cast and crew will have a small celebration on the sets today.Producer and writer Aatish Kapadia told india-forums.com, "Nowadays even completing 100 episodes is a milestone. Previously it was a landmark event when a show completed 200 or 300 episodes. However nowadays there is so much of competition in this industry."
While the show seems to have crossed a milestone, its also true that the makers have been criticized for the low TRPs of the show. When we quizzed Aatish he said, "Our show doesn't have too-high TRPs because it is a layered story. This kind of story telling doesn't work nowadays. Also our show is about a bunch of happy people and people like to watch sad tales instead these days. We are spicing up things, adding some drama and emotion."
Suchita Trivedi who plays Sanyuktagauri Nikhilesh Majumdar on the show agreed that viewers unfortunately don't want to watch feel good shows. She said, "Shows on which there is a lot of hatred sells. People would rather see shows where there is gossiping and back stabbing."
Producer Jd Majethia is also happy that his show is reaching 100 episodes. "This show took a long time to come on air, so we are very happy that we have reached 100 episodes." When asked about the criticism on TRPs he said, "I feel our show is doing quite well at the 7:30pm slot. Whereas it is true that Saath Nibhana Saathiya rakes high TRP as the 7pm slot, that show is very woman oriented. Our show on the contrary is for the family audience and has very strong male characters. Many male office goers aren't back home by that time. All I know is that we are making good content which people enjoy watching. In today's competitive world we are doing something different."
Rajeev Mehta who plays Nikhilesh Majumdar agrees with Jd Majethia, "Here all our male characters are strong and distinctively different. They have their own identities, footage and billing." The actor is looking forward to the show crossing at least 400 episodes.

is trying to bring on Indian Television!

i loved sgp there was no kitchenb politcs there it was a feel good show and it was a hit, they seem to want it like sgp but the main wrong thing is that characters in family are also not all postives- shaswayt is an all n all scheming kid( and they got him marreid) tejal is an orther worng case, the dialuge delivery is so bad and she just is so rude and uncultuted , if they wanted ot show how a bahu came and changed the fmaily and herself they could have shown more on her charcercter goodness, right now she is stubborn demanding love and respect from her mil coz she married her other son and ddnt come to her wedding!!a family that leaves a moms will out of the osns marriage ignores her oppostion and goes in spite to get son maried s really not ok for ek dusre se karte ha pyar him!! why was the need to make ankeiet mareid so early!!

This show used to be good and I thought it would stay different throughout but as always why do all Indian shows let me down every single time after like month or 2 of the show? Honestly, I wanted aniket to move on in life and be abigger person they should have really made him build up gradually and then get the girl in his life it made more sense and what is all this shashwat and his wife crap. It's sad one show I had lots of expectation went down the drain.

People would rather see shows where there is gossiping and back stabbing." so is she tryn 2 say dat der is no back stabbing happening in der show or ha eyes r closd whn she is readn da script... what is mouni kangana doin isnt it calld back stabbing... dis show is a very stupid one.. smetyms in otha shows v see da nyc prsn also gettn a chance buh in dis show tejal is always proven wrng... da shw concept was changing pples thoughts buh dey ave brought a same villain concept... v ave been watchn hats off shows md i must say dis is da wrst show i eva watchd... nd plz change da dressing style of tejal she reali luks disgusting...

People who brought us wonderful feel-good shows like Khichdi, Baa Bahu aur Baby, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai are now letting the viewers and themselves down with Saas Bahu drivel in EDSKHPH! EVERYBODY WE KNOW LOVED THIS SHOW BUT WITH INTRODUCTION OF PURE BITCHINESS AND NASTINESS HAVE STOPPED WATCHING THIS SHOW... # EDSKHPH HAS REACHED 100 EPISODES BUT IT WILL BE AXED BEFORE IT'S 150TH EPISODE!!!!!!!

I used to like the show at the beginning. It was a light & comedy show. But I quit long ago. I don't like the actress who's playing the character Tejal at all. I'm extremely sorry to say the show has now transformed into a typical saas bahu saga kitchen politics women centric. Hit the dislike button but I had to say this...
