Gulfam Khan turns 40 today!

In conversation with Tellybuzz, Gulfam Khan talks about her birthday plans..

Birthday plan for today:

Every day of my life is a blessing.  My husband treats everyday like my birthday; so each day is special for me. Every year I'm eager to do something new on my birthday, and this time I'm getting trained at swimming. To start off a great day, I had my breakfast in one of my much-loved restaurant at Hotel Sahara Star, and then I went for a lunch to have my favourite sizzlers.

Gifts that I'm getting on my birthday:

Well, since my birthday falls on the 6^th, my beloved husband surprises me with 6 exciting gifts every year. This time the bunch of 6 gifts that I'm getting are:

1)      Swimming lessons

2)      A pair of designer pants

3)      A gold chain

4)      A pair of Topaz ear-rings

5)      Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (4G – LTE), which has not yet launched in India

6)      Kindle E-book, Sony reader and a mini I-pad.

My perfect birthday memory:

Last year, I was gifted a foreign trip by my husband. He left me amazed when he asked me to pack our bags just two hours before the flight. It really came as a shock to me, but we had a blast at Bangkok. So that was indeed a perfect Birthday!

Plan to treat co-stars:

I'll be meeting some of my co-stars and childhood friends at my swimming class in the evening; Mouli Ganguly is one of them. I've also planned to treat my friends for a dinner at my own place. So it's going to be a party night with my husband, Rakhi Vijan, Jassi and many others.  

If I'm granted a wish today:

If I'm really granted a wish in the present day, I would ask for absolute peace and harmony in the world, good quality work and love from everybody.

Roles I desire to play:  

I have a long list of roles that I would like to play further in my acting career. The listing includes Jodha's role played by Durga Khote in Mughal-E-Azam, an unspoken character of Rukaiya Begum who played a strong role in Akbar's life (The great Mughal) or any historical category portraying a strong women. I would also like to play some funny characters like a Goan woman, a funny Bengali woman or some action roles. Actually I wish to try everything... (Laughs).
