The
talented actor Rajat Tokas who has left a mark in the telly industry
with his spectacular performances in the historical shows which
showcases his bravery namely Dharam Veer and Dharti Ka Veer Putra
Prithviraj Chauhan, is all set to make a come back after two and a half year years with
yet another historical show Jodha Akhbar which will be aired on Zee TV which is produced by the
queen of Indian television soaps Ekta Kapoor.
Rajat will be seen portraying the character of King Akbar a challenging role of a soldier turned king at a very ripe age of 14 years. When we got in touch with him to know about what made him come back with another historical show he said, "It's not about getting back to historical shows or that I love historical shows but yes I like them and I love playing a man."
"When the producer, directors and the casting team choses a character for their show then they are very much sure what they want, and exactly that is what they have found in me and that is how I am playing the role of Akbar. I am extremely happy to be back after two and a half year with such a big thing."
On his take on daily soap, he said, "I don't say that the daily soaps are boring but that is something I don't like. Historical shows are unlike daily soaps where you get to do nothing. You are just an observer in a daily soap where you don't have to do anything and yet you are the main lead of the show."
"I don't understand the logic behind the saas-bahu saga on Indian television. Hence I prefer strong roles which I have played earlier and I would prefer them later too."
"Instead of being an entertainer why not be an actor? " he concluded.
