Rohit Bakshi has always been the quite types who allows his work to speak for itself. Never on a self-promotion spree, this young and dashing actor comes across as a gentleman in real life too.

After acting in popular TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kutumb and Kahiin To Hoga to name a few, Rohit and his girlfriend Aashka Goradia have been in news lately due to the Nach Baliye offer. Between the couple, he has always been the silent one commenting only once in a while when he feels the issue is important.

Now he opens up about the Nach Baliye offer, his relationship status and work. Read on –

What is the status of the Nach Baliye offer?

To tell you honestly, we both are a little confused about doing a dance competition as of now! Aashka is busy shooting for Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap faraway in Talasari, Amgaon. Since it is far away location and it is cumbersome to travel daily she stays there for 4-5 days and comes back for a short 2 days break. For a show like Nach Baliye we need to be together for the dance rehearsals and she has to be here for the shoot too so it looks impossible as of now.

So does it mean you will say 'No' to it?

We are not saying 'No' as yet. Talks are on and we had an intense meeting. Everyone knows that sometimes the participants need to put in 16-17 hours a day of practice. If we give an ok to the show then I believe we should be giving our 100% to it. It is not worth it at all if we give just 40% to 50% of our time and effort and then the results will show and we will be out in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round itself!

What is the solution you are looking at?

It practically looks impossible but we are trying to figure out something and finding out a way. Aashka's track in Maharana Pratap is going really well currently. Her character in the show is very prominent and the show too is doing very well so she is talking to the producers of her show. Let's see if she manages her dates and schedules or may be if I go to Amgaon and rehearse with her then it might just happen!

There have been umpteen rumors about your split…

Yes and we both have a hearty laugh over it. Sometimes we are sitting together and one of us receives a call asking about the status of our relationship! At times like these we just hand over the phone to the other and make that reporter talk to both of us.

Where do you think the rumors started and why are they continuing?

The rumors started when Aashka was in the Bigg Boss Season 6 house and I could not give time to be part of the show when they have families or friends over. I was busy with the promotions of my film Dehradun Diary and had already given dates to be out of town that time and that is when people started wondering whether we had split! Everyone overlooked the fact that I had gone to drop her and pick her up from the Bigg Boss house!

Would you like to clarify your relationship status once and for all?

Yes, me and Aashka are very much together. We have been seeing each other for the past 5 years and these rumors don't bother us anymore.

So, when is the wedding happening?

The wedding too shall happen, however no date is fixed as yet. Our families know everything that they want to know and have agreed to our relationship.

You both are also business partners. What are the future plans?

We launched 'ISAYICE' last year and it is completely Aashka's baby. It was her idea and we both were very much involved in the opening and running of the outlet. Whenever I visit the outlet I plan of expansion. We wanted to test the waters first and now that we are successful we are planning to open more outlets.

Finally, when do we see you back on Television?

I have never gone away from Television. I have been doing episodics for shows like Fear Files and Hum Ne Li Hai...Shapath but I want to do more on TV. I have maintained myself well and am looking out for lead roles. I have been getting good offers and I have even given couple of look tests but I will take up a role when I am happy in totality. The character, the show, the money – everything has to be good! Once I get an offer of my choice you will surely see me on Television.
