Drama galore in Pavitra Rishta..

The show heads for a leap on September 16th 2013.

Ankita Lokhande as Archana in Pavitra Rishta showBalaji Telefilms Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV is all set to take a leap. Earlier it was said that the leap would happen latest by last week of August, however after lot of speculations the show is now planning to take a jump on 16th September.

Our reliable source informs us "There are lots of issues that lead to the leap being postponed. The story line which wasn't clear due to which the story went haywire and unwanted twists and turns happened at the last moment. Moreover there was a dearth of actors and the auditions are still on for the actors, which also lead to delay in the leap."

It is also being said that many actors were also miffed that Ankita Lokhande has been given more screen space as she will be seen in dual roles - one as Archana and then as of her grand daughter Pari as well. Many actors thus thought of leaving the show as the amount per day to them was also less.

When contacted Hiten Tjwani who essays the role of Manav said, "The leap is happening for sure but I have no intimation about the date. Yes for some reasons it did get delayed. See these things happen in daily soaps and its nothing new. I would also like to clarify that although all my fans are constantly saying that I shouldn't play the role of a grandfather, I will play the role of grandfather as I am an actor and I am doing my job. Whatever I am doing is very much professional."

Mrinalini Tyagi too opined, "Yes, I am very much part of the leap, however I have no clue about the story line as we are still unsure what will happen tomorrow. There are various things happening for which I am also unable to understand, but yes, we are heading towards a leap on 16th September. I am happy that at last the leap is happening and I am all fine playing a little older character."

She also reacted to the news that some actors are miffed due to the fact that Ankita will get to play two characters and will also be paid double, "Well I am quite angry on actors leaving the show because Ankita has got double roles. What happened when she played the role of a mother. Despite being just 25 years old she played 50 years, so why can't she play the role of her own granddaughter who will look her real age now? Its completely fair and just because the other actors don't wish to age they shouldn't comment on professionalism of other actors," she ended.

Hope all goes well post the leap in Pavitra Rishta!

Wow, that's rich from Mrinalini Tyagi. She can comment on other opinions but other actors should not express their opinions!!! Hypocrisy at its best.

what I want someone to explain to me is if neither Purvi nor Arjun is directly related to Archana (Purvi being adopted) and Arjun being Aashna and DK's son then how can Pari grow up to look exactly like her grandmother???

I agree with Mrinalini. Why can't everyone just suck it up and play older characters...it would make them more versatile in the long run. Ankita is the soul of PR and she will do great as Pari.
