Jassuben on Imagine to be rescheduled...

Hats Off Productions’ popular show on NDTV Imagine, Jassuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family will be rescheduled to a weekend slot from January end or first week of February.

And taking the 10PM slot will be Ekta’s second show on NDTV Imagine, titled Bandini while the other show coming from Balaji stables Kitani Mohobbat Hai, with lead pairs Karan Kundra and Krutika will take the 10.30 pm slot.

J.D. Majethia of Hats Off Productions confirmed this news to Telly Buzz and stated, “Yes, there is a possibility of Jassuben getting a weekend slot in the coming year”.

When asked whether he was happy with this change in slot, JD quickly clarified, “To tell you more on this, an extensive research was conducted by the channel, which showed that viewers like to see the ‘intense family dramas’ on week days, and prefer to watch the ‘hulka pulka’ shows like Jassuben over the weekend. Jassuben has been the No.2 TRP getter for the channel after Ramayan, and we are very confident of doing better in the new time slot”.

According to our sources, Bandini which will take the slot of Jassuben is based on a Gujrathi novel and will have a rural backdrop. “The cast is being finalized right now, and the shoot for the show will kick-off at Ahmedabad once the cast gets finalized”, says our source.

Above all, Ronit Roy the Balaji loyalist will be back in action with Bandini. “He will play a pivotal character in the show for sure, but nothing much has been decided about the role”, adds our source.

We tried calling Ronit Roy, but he was unavailable for comments.

Bandini is managed by Sandiip Sikcand and it is heard that Roshan, wife of Garry Bhinder has joined Balaji Telefilms and is a part of the show. For the uninitiated, Garry Bhinder was the renowned Director in Ekta’s camp who succumbed to cancer recently.

As for now, we hope that Ekta is successful in creating magic with the two new shows, and we also hope Jassuben does really well in the new slot!!
