"Totally unfair!" say telly celebs about the verdict.

The first verdict in Delhi Gang Rape case, where by a juvenile has been sentenced an imprisonment of 3 years, has spurred nation-wide anger and protests.

The rape and murder of a 23-year-old student by six attackers on a moving bus in Delhi last December generated nationwide protests and led to reforms that mandated longer sentences for adult sex offenders. However, after a long delayed verdict over the brutal assault, one of the juvenile suspect who was found guilty was sentenced an imprisonment of 3 years on August 31st, 2013.

Following the same, the first verdict in the case has sparked debate over whether India is too soft on young offenders. In conversation with TellyBuzz, our Telly town celebs raise their voice against the unfair verdict and express their fueling outrage for the same.

Personally, I don't think so that the judicial decision is balanced at all. 3 years of jail is no compensation for a girl's life. Why is our system so lethargic? Why can't we bring some strict punishments for rapists like they have in a few other countries?  I strongly believe that shameful death of the rapists is what should be demanded. Such a lenient punishment will not only encourage more crime but hardly anyone will respect the system now. It is a real shame.

First of all, after these awful incidents in our country, I don't feel proud to say that I'm an Indian. Secondly, minors are also well-versed with how to rape, so I don't understand how the culprits are termed innocent. Even though the guilty teenager is sentenced to three years in juvenile detention, the question arises is, after 3 years of being in jail, when the culprit is set free, who will take the responsibility that he will not repeat the same misdeed again? Moreover, the people who think of committing a similar crime will never stop, as the court's verdict does not pose a threat to them. It's just like I'm a minor, so even if I get caught in a similar case, its just a matter of 3 years. The present scenario is very shameful and not at all justified. It is not a proper justice and it will happen again and again till severe punishment comes into the frame.

It's disgusting and unacceptable. Such an easy punishment not only motivates in a wrong direction but it also sets a bad example. I feel punishment should be such that people should tremble before taking such a step.

Amit Tandon: seen as Rahul Chaturvedi in Jeannie Aur Juju on SAB TV.

3 years jail sentence for the Delhi rape victim's youngest suspect. It is such a shame on this country. With this decision they have now given the green signal to all those low life men to commit more such acts. Woman should just start carrying guns and shoot on sight because sadly our Government is not going to protect them. As a father and a husband, the fact is that this country is not safe at all for women, and as much as I would love for things to change for the better, truth remains that unless the criminals receive maximum punishment for such horrible crimes, things will only get worse. So if keeping our women safe means being in a daily soap world, then lets live in that world!

We can't blame the judge who has passed this judgment because his verdict is based on the existing laws of our country. Therefore, the juvenile is now given a chance to rehabilitate, consequently. However, having said that, it angers me because as we know, such cases and such judgments are encouraging the minors to commit more such crimes, as they will get an easy way out. If a minor is capable of raping someone and be brutal to another human being, then he can definitely handle a harsher punishment. It's high time now, our law needs an amendment!

Kanwar Dhillon: seen as Addu in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 on Colors.

I don't think that the court's final verdict can be justified at all. Nothing can compensate a life of an individual. The wrongdoer should be hanged to death, irrespective of his age. Who-so-ever he might be, the guy has committed a fatal crime and he should face terrible consequences for the same.  And I feel, the only end result of such criminals should be death and nothing less than that.

Well said by all the celebs. India desperately needs a BIG change in the judiciary system. Such impartiality is just unacceptable, and Indian citizens need to fight for their own rights, otherwise they will never receive them. Especially women I say.

Totally agree with Shashank Vyas...

The way the girl was tortured by those sick animals, how could the person who announced the verdict announced it!When I read how they tortured her mujhe laga ke inko bulldozer se kuchal du.Injustice has happened with that innocent girl and they are ensuring that the rapists gets justice!Ke koi nainsaafi na ho!WOW!What a shame!
