Actors cherish their friendship day memories!

Friendship Day is said to be the day to make friends, enjoy with friends and more. This day comes on the first Sunday in month of August. As Friendship Day is round the corner, we got in touch with the actors and took them in their past and asked them to share their fond memories of their school and college on this Day.

I have lot of memories, to remember one is little bit difficult. I have two friends who are my friends since nursery like when I was three years old I met Prineeta and Dhara. Every year they do something special for me, not very big but Pareenita is very great with art and stuff. So what she did was she wrote a letter in a very artistic manner of around ten pages. She has very sharp memory and so she wrote everything which she remembered. After reading the letter she was crying and she would always get something for me that I want which I might have randomly mentioned that I want that or I like that.

She would remember and make sure that she got it for me. We once planned to make our own friendship day special. We were supposed to meet outside thschool that day. And that day I think we actually met because I was in Mumbai, Dhara was at some other place and Prineeta in other college but we actually ended up meeting outside school and none of us co-ordinated. We didn't whats app each other that we have to meet tomorrow. At the same time we all three of us remember and we reached there. I reached at Bombay and specially took off at that day.

I think that was one of the fond memories that I had with two of them. This year I guess it will be little difficult because I won't get an off but yes I will be sending something and as pari (prineeta) is a fashion designer she designs dresses. So since she asked me for my measurement, I already know what she is going send.

I remember when we were in college boys used to go to every girl and give them the special band and used to say that this is especially for you. This used to make all girls happy that 'ya that guy game me special band' and in the evening when we all girls used to sit together to flaunt the band which the guys had gifted to our friends. Few guys gave me a special band but we came to know that boys have fooled us as they tied the same bands to all girls, you can compare it with film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. That time we used to get angry, in fact hum woh boys se baat bhi nai karte the as they had cheated us. Today when I think about those days, I really laugh and those are fond memories of friendship day.

My school or college memories of friendship day would be seeing my hands full of messages with the permanent markers written by my friends. And then came the typical moment of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai when girls walked up to you and said can we be friends and would tie the band on my wrist. This is all I could re-collect. I am not so fond of this day and so nothing special in particular. I have a fixed gang of friends from childhood. So we just meet up and do something or the other.

Friendship day for me is like a double treat because my birthday is on 1st August and it used to come on first Sunday, so we used to do a double celebration kyunki mera birthday bhi hai, Friendship day bhi and also monsoon season which is my favorite season.

So there is one memorable thing happened with me during school is that I took lots of band in school and chup chupke I was tying bands to my friends as it was not allowed in school.  I was tying bands to my friends though it was not allowed in classrooms, we were changing places. And in the last lecture we used to get caught because we had khadus maths teacher (sorry to say Ma'am). So we used to get scolding by her and all our bands were confiscated by the teacher. But this used to happen in school, not in college.

In Colleges we celebrated it openly. All boys used to wear white t-shirt and girls used to write messages like with lots of love etc. And by the end all of them used to flaunt.  I remember that in childhood if people did not tie the band, so what we used to do we used to tie the band by ourselves to show everybody that see I have so many friends (Laughs). But before going home we used to remove all the bands or else mom used to scold us and before going to tuition we used wear it again. So yes these are my fond memories. Teacher aur mummy se bands chupana, khudse band bandna and flaunting all these are sweet memories of friendship day during school time.

My college friend bhavana, Subhashree and me used to go on a long drive when I was in college in Delhi. We were the only girls who used to listen loud Punjabi music and my friend bhavana's car had tinted glass. We were stopped by many cops thinking it must be bunch of drunk guys but we would speed away and didn't stop. Bhavana was my best buddy in college. We used to do lots of crazy things together. Friendship day used to be very special with her.
