Himmanshoo A Malhotra has proved himself as an actor with his severe performance in Zee TV's Bhagonwali - Baante Apni Taqdeer. But What if Himmanshoo was not an actor. What if he had not participated in Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj?

If not an actor, which profession you would take up?

"I would have joined my dad's business or would have been a cricketer playing for the country had I not been an actor. I had represented my team for the under 19 and under 20 matches from Delhi. There were Gautam Gambhir and Akaash Chopra playing with me and Akaash is still a good friend of mine. When you start playing for the country the level becomes really high and it becomes hard for us to maintain the connection.

Then why did you quit Cricket?
Actually my dad asked me to quit cricket because I was excellent in studies during those days and dad did not want me to deviate my concentration anything apart from studies. That's why I had to leave that and though I went through a low situation that time, today I have no regrets. I completed my MBA and today my dad is really happy with where I am today.

Was acting ever planned?
Acting was never planned and I guess I was destined to come into the field. But at the same time I would like to tell all the young aspiring actors that please complete your education and then you do what you like to do in life. The grooming that education gives you helps you to present yourself in the industry."

What a fine actor you are Himmanshoo! You are capable of portraying so many different roles unlike many actors I know. Apart from being a fine actor, good to hear that you are so intelligent and excellent in the field of cricket!

Himmanshoo, you do have an interesting personal story. It's amazing where destiny leads one and since you have no regrets of where it lead you; its where you were suppose to be. You are an incredibly talented actor and we love watching you as Guddu Shukla.
