Shabbir's crash course on Cricket to his co-stars!

What's LBW? What's a googley? Off spin? Do these terms sound Greek and Latin to you? Perhaps not! After all, Cricket is a religion in the country and every fan of the sport knows these terms like the back of his hand. But well, the female actors of Kumkum Bhagya - Sriti Jha, Mrunal Thakur and screen mom Supriya Shukla aren't exactly Cricket buffs. So when they were all roped in to play a cricket match at Zee TV's first of its kind Zee 20 Cricket League' where all the stars of the Zee family were split into two teams to battle it out on the cricket field, it looked like the trio would feel like Alices in Wonderland on the pitch. But worry not, the hero of their show Kumkum Bhagya - Shabbir Ahluwalia jumped to their rescue!

Having been invited to play at the Zee 20 Cricket League himself, Shabbir was in his element. He knew if there's one field that he considers his home turf apart from acting, that would be Cricket. Apart from watching the sport, he loves playing it as well. Though the busy shoot schedule saps the energy out of him to practice it on a daily basis, Shabbir was glad to be a part of the Crircket League and was glad to be practicing the sport after long. On understanding that his co-stars were facing issues since they had never played and had hardly watched the game, Shabbir sprung to his feet in all excitement to do all it takes to ensure that Sriti, Mrunal and Supriya Shukla give their shots right and look like trained professionals on screen. While Supriya Shukla played an umpire, Mrunal and Shabbir were in two different teams competing with each other.

From teaching Mrunal how to hold a bat, to ensuring that she perfects the art of hitting fours and sixes, Shabbir went all out to help her. He gave her tips on the kind of attitude and look one should have while holding a bat to how she should keep herself energized and ensure that the heat doesn't sap the energy out of her. Having said that, he ensured that both Supriya and Mrunal drank ample juices and glucose to keep themselves going through the day. Well, we hope all that training does not end in Rockstar Abhi having to lose the match from his biggest fan Bulbul who happens to be a part of his opponent team.

In an exciting coup, Zee TV will have the most sought-after actors from all its primetime shows come together on a cricket field, be split into two teams led by Raj (Mishkat Varma) and Samarth (Navi Bhangu), the protagonists of  its show Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and battle it out in a nail-biting 20-over match packed with high-voltage drama. The man who wins the match will walk away with the heroine Avani! With half of your favorite stars backing Raj and the other half rooting for Samarth, wonder who will win the Zee 20 Cricket League and walk away with the girl?
