I started working in the television industry after my HSC. But I never quit on my education. I'm pursuing my bachelor's degree from the esteemed Mumbai University. Thanks to the part time courses!
So, do you regret giving up your college life?
Actually, No! Like the famous saying, "Kuch paane ke liye kuch khona padta hai." It applies strongly in my case.
How is it working with The Buddy Project?
It is a very great experience.
The cast and the production unit are fantastic. The entire cast is very
friendly and they have never made me feel like I was an outsider. It's been
hardly a few days that I have started shooting for The Buddy Project but
it feels like I've been
part of this family for quite a while.
The show is based on college life. Do you enjoy your shoots?
Of course! This show has given me
the opportunity to be in a
college like situation and this is the reason why I don't regret
giving up on my college life for the television industry.
Which show according to you made you famous?
Emotional Atyachaar for sure! My
role was appreciated by one and
all. My family and friends were proud of me after seeing me on
Emotional Atyachaar.
How special is The Buddy Project to you?
This show has given me an opportunity to relive my college days. I have fun as well as learn new things on set. I will always cherish these moments for the rest of my life. As college life is the most memorable part of your life, mine will be The Buddy Project.
How was it working in daily soaps like Bade Acche Laggte Hai and Pavitra Rishta?
The best part of working in
bigger shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hain and
Pavitra Rishta is that you get to meet big stars. And working with them
is the best thing as they tell you honestly where you did well and
where you need to improve.
Any uniqueness about the characters played by you?
All the characters which I've
portrayed are unique. But the most
unique character you might find is of Kanchan in Emotional Atyachaar.
The story really moved me!
Are you looking forward to Bollywood?
This is the first time; I'm
disclosing this fact on a platform as
big as this. About three to four months ago I did shoot for a pivotal
role for a very well known production house which had a Bollywood
superstar in the lead. But due to some uncalled-for issues, the film
was off the floor. I would not like to name the production house nor
the actor as it will stir more controversies. But one thing for sure;
if any suitable role comes by my way, I'll not leave the opportunity.
What are you fond of?
I'm really fond of babies. They are cute, sweet, huggable, and innocent.
What is the craziest thing you have done till now?
Once I bunked my school to watch
a movie. Few of my friends and I went to watch Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi from school
as I'm a very big Shahrukh
Khan fan. I haven't done anything crazy that would top this as bunking
school is still a very big thing for kids these days.
Craziest fan encounter so far?
This one is scary rather than
crazy. One of my fans added me as a
friend on a popular social networking site and he used to drop me a
line everyday about my serials on air. To be honest, I loved the
attention. But my slow replies irked him and he started abusing me. I
had to block him as I'm not used to such kind of behaviour.
How often do you party?
Once in a blue moon, to be
honest. I prefer social gatherings
rather than partying. Meeting new people is far more productive than
partying all night long.
What is love according to you?
I think love is a wonderful thing
which you can see in the eyes of
your parents when they are proud of your achievements.
What do you prefer arrange marriage or love? Why?
Well, each one has their
respective pros and cons but I'm very
young to give an accurate answer to that question. Hope I can answer
that in a few years.
Any message to your fans?
I know I don't have a huge fan
following but this message goes for
those handful of people who really like my work. I love you guys and I
really like the appreciation you shower on me with your wonderful
messages. If I continue to get your blessings via the love and support
you show me, I'd be thankful to god. Live long and cherish your
dreams!
