"Going first for the elimination stunt was my hard luck" : Pooja Gor

Fearless Pooja Gor performed her stunts well in Colors’ popular reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi but she feels that going first for the elimination stunt became the reason for her eviction.

Pooja Gor at the Launch of Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr ka BlockbusterPretty and talented actress Pooja Gor, who gained immense popularity by playing the protagonist in Star Plus' popular show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya was recently seen in Colors' stunt based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr ka Blockbuster but unfortunately, despite being a strongest contender on the show, she was evicted in the show's first elimination round.

This lovely lady shares her experience, about her fears, performing stunts with creepy creatures and much more in a conversation with TellyBuzz.

How was your experience being a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr ka Blockbuster?

It was genuinely the bestest experience I have ever had while doing a non-fiction show. The format of the show is very adventurous which lets you do the different kinds of stunts.

What was your motive of taking part in the show?

My motive was to do these kinds of adventurous things. I am really happy that I could participate in this adventurous show. It was super fun.

What's your deepest fear?

Not being able to finish the task! I do believe that I wanted to finish each and every stunt which was given to me. There were few stunts which I did finish and excelled and there were few stunts which I couldn't finish. I was not afraid of anything but I was afraid of the unknown fears which probably I wouldn't know. I didn't know if I was scared of heights or not, I didn't know whether I was scared of jumping in the water and swimming. So, I was worried about these unknown fears.

Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr ka BlockbusterWere you scared of the reptiles and other creatures?

Even if you are not scared of any reptiles or creatures, there were moments when such creepy creatures were very much closer to your face; then you are tend to get scared. They were scary. There were 80 snakes but somehow I managed to keep calm and finish the stunts so I am pretty happy about it.

What has been your biggest challenge while performing the tasks?

The biggest challenge was defeating the boys. It depends on the stunts as well. If a stunt involves more of mental focus then there are a lot of chances that a girl can win. There were other stunts where your physical strength is needed and it was the toughest part of doing that stunt. In one of the stunts I was pitted against Salman Yusuf Khan and Salman is an athlete, a dancer and has a fit body. So, it was quite obvious that we would beat me in the stunt.

Did you prepare yourself for this show?

I couldn't do any kind of preparations because I was shooting for Savdhaan India @ 11 constantly and we had only a month for the preparations. I had to wrap up all my work here before so I couldn't prepare myself physically but I constantly tried to keep myself mentally stronger and it worked for me. I knew that at least I can prepare myself mentally if not physically.

According to you, what has been your weak point which made you eliminated from the show so soon?

I think luck didn't favor me because in some of the stunts, initiating those proves to be very disadvantageous. When you are performing first then you become the first one to experience the stunt and explore it how to perform the same. You will take time, you will make mistakes, etc. and all the mistakes made and the amount of time taken by the contestant in figuring out the stunt would be an advantage for the other contestants and seeing that, they can do faster and better. Going first was my hard luck!

Any regrets about it?

I think that if I wasn't the first one to go for the elimination stunt then I wasn't the one going home.

What has been the most daring act done by you in real life?

The acts done by me on Khatron Ke Khiladi have proved to be the most daring acts for me. The most daring one which was given to me was the snake stunt in which I picked apples from a basket full of 80 snakes. That was the craziest, scariest and the most dare devil thing which I have ever done in my real life.

Any childhood incident you would like to share with us?

There was a crazy incident during my childhood days. As a child, I was quite fascinated about biology experiments operated on creatures which students do in 9th and 10th Std. So, at that time, I didn't reach to that level. I was in 6th or 7th std. and one day at myNani's place, I saw a dead rat. I got a knife from the kitchen, I flipped the rat to its opposite side and I dissected it and started exploring all the organs. I don't know why I did so but I was this kind of a crazy girl during my childhood that I just wanted to figure it out what it was. I think it would have led me to be a doctor (laughs).
