'The audience likes to see me dressed this way' - Ashlesha Sawant

Ashlesha Sawant, better known as Tara from Saat Phere, is in no hurry to prove herself. She believes in taking a break when she wants to and doing things that she feels is right. "I strongly stand by my decision to take a break after Kyunki Saas... (where she played the role of Teesha)," says the attractive actress. Just when her popularity charts were soaring with Teesha's character, she took a sabbatical and went back to her hometown, Pune.

However, thanks to Saat Phere, Ashlesha is back in the limelight. "I personaly think in Saat Phere, the whole package has clicked well with the audience. I have personally learned a lot from this show. Experienced actors like Akshaye Anand, Sulekha Sikhri have taught me a lot," says Ashlesha whose typical way of wearing her sari in the show has become a style mantra now! "The channel gets loads of feedback that the audience likes to see me in that way. So it's cool for me."

Apart from this show, Ashlesha recently did few episodes for Shhhhh. Koi Hain. Any plans for the big screen? "I never categorize my work as small screen or big screen. If I get a good role, I will go for it, no matter where."

What about the personal front? Is it all work and no play? "I will cross the bridge when it will come closer to me, right now the bridge is far away," says the clever star. Saat Phere takes 17-18 days in a month so what does she do in the remaining time? "Oh, I just love sleeping! To me it's the most effective stress buster in this world. I have two very close pals in this industry Aditi Pratap and Kiran Dubey, and we just love to chat with each other and hanging out when we are not working," says a smiling Ashlesha.
