"Nisha is the driving force in my life"- Karan Mehra

Karan Mehra, better known as Naitik of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain is known to be a simple person in real. His pairing with Hina Khan aka Akshara has been a real success.

Karan shares with Tellybuzz about the latest developments in the show and his relationship with his fiance, Nisha Rawal. 

Your chemistry with Hina khan is improving day by day which is keeping the audiences glued, especially the recent rain sequence which was a big hit, how do u react?
Audience was bored of watching us separated in the show, I think ice is breaking slowly between Akshara and Naitik. The recent song sequence was picturized beautifully and I am happy that people have loved it. They wish that we should be together soon and I will try to bring smile on Akshara's face for sure.

What will happen next with regards to Naitik in the storyline of the show?
I do not know much about the track, however I can tell this much that Naitik has planned something big for Akshara on this Diwali. And if his plan succeeds, the fans would get to see some nice sequence between us.

Whom you are closest to on the set?
Ayush Agarwal is very close to me and I think he is the only one I am close to. This is because I am very professional and a reserved person. I am always engaged with some or the other work even on the sets. But Ayush is one person who chats with me all the time both on screen as well as off screen.

If you are offered a film as the main lead will you quit Ye Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai?
No, I will not quit my show as it is very close to my heart. I shall be part of the show as long as the show is on air and till I feel that I am doing justice to my character. Further I do not know what is kept for me in future but I want to do films in future and it is my dream to do Hollywood movie one day.

You are engaged to Nisha Rawal, so when will we hear the wedding bells?
We want to get established in our personal and professional life foremost. However, our parents have already blessed us, so probably by next year you will get to hear something from us.

What is more satisfying; acting in daily soap or in a play on Stage?
Both are two different genres of art and have their own differences. In plays we are acting in front of a live audience whereas in Television we are showing edited sequences to the audience. These two media also differs in their reach, where television has a wider spectrum than plays.
Will you be seen in any reality shows this year?
It will be very difficult for me to do a reality show now because of the time constrain but if the offer interests me, I will accept.

 What is your happiness mantra?
Nisha is a driving force in my life and I try keeping a positive attitude in me which I try even under my stress.

Who is the sexiest actress on television according t o you and why?
Nisha and she looked stunning in her show Kesar.

Who is the sexiest actress in Bollywood according to you and why?
Nisha again and I may looked biased in this regard. But she has done movies and I can't think beyond my lady. There are good actresses in industry but if I think of the sexiest amongst all, only Nisha's face comes in front of my eyes.

How do you intend to celebrate Diwali?
I wanted to celebrate it with my family, but schedule has hooked me up, so this year Diwali is with Nisha, my friends and my students at the RIRO, my acting institute. We are also having a Puja at the office.

If you get a magic wand with which you can fulfill any three wishes of yours this Diwali, what will be your three wishes?
I wish to get happiness, joy and good health. I wish this festival lights up everyone's life and I wish to work hard for our better future.
