Shama's Fitness Mantra!

Actress Shama Sikander in conversation with TellyBuzz about her fitness regime.

A beautiful smile, a fit and toned body and a drop dead gorgeous fashion sense is what makes an actress turn into a diva!

Following a similar trend, film & television actress Shama Sikander is regular at the gym and believes that simple things like eating right and drinking proper amount of water makes a lot of difference.

The very gorgeous actress, who was last seen playing the role of Bhayankar Pari on SAB TV's kids based super-hero show daiy show Baal Veer, speaks to TellyBuzz about her fitness mantra...

What does fitness mean to you? What's your idea of fitness?

For me, fitness means to stay fit physically, feel healthy from within, be happy and look my best.

What efforts do you take to stay in shape?

To be frank, I take a lot of efforts to stay fit. In fact, I'm striving hard with my workout to get into the desired shape for my new, upcoming movie. I strictly follow a regular workout regime

Are you conscious about your food choices?

Absolutely! I always make it a point to follow an ideal diet and eat the right things from time to time. I avoid eating high-calorie dishes, but sometimes I have no control on myself. I can stay without anything but not sweets and sometimes I go overboard, which is not right. (Laughs)

Three things you do every day to remain fit.

1) A cardio workout in the evening for one and a half hour daily.

2) Eat healthy food.

3) Drink four litres of water daily.

What is your take on the zero figure craze among the girls these days?

For some people, the modern conception of beauty may be a stick thin 'size zero' figure. There was a time when even I was in the same shape, but that was out of choice. Staying fit means maintaining a healthy body without enough celluloid.  

Is there any sport you are skilled at?

I just love Kick-boxing... I'm practicing it for the past 16 years. Even at present, I kick-box for one and a half hour in the morning, on a daily basis.  

A celeb body you admire.

I admire Hollywood celeb Kate Beckinsale for her amazing body. I've also come across many videos on the net whereby these Hollywood dancing ladies have an awesome body. They are not exactly lean, they do have a little of bulging muscles but their flexibility makes it looks sexy.

What is your fitness secret?

Just eat right! Stay healthy! Feel the strength and energy!

Don't stress yourself to keep in shape. Follow a proper workout regime and eat healthy food.

One of the few celebs to be honest about their diets and workout.. most of the actresses claim to do pretty much nothing, all bs. .:p

Erm so she does and hour and half in morning for kick boxing and an hour half cardio in evening!!! That's nothing to be inspired about!!! But completely opposite to how much ur body can take!!! Ps there's more to life than gyms!!!
