I want my partner to be presentable : Chirag Thakkar.

Chirag Thakkar who is seen as Kartik in Balaji Telefilms Bade Acche Laggte Hai on Sony TV gets candid with Telly Buzz and speaks about his stint till date and his future plans.

Chirag who replaced Mohit Malhotra talks about how he felt replacing someone. He says, "I was very paranoid as I was replacing a face which was quite well known and was there from the start. It wasn't easy for me to replace a character as initially I did get hate mails and messages. However, eventually it was all sorted out and the audience started connecting with me as well. They understood the depth of my character as well. Kartik's character did change and had various transitions from negative to positive to grey just like any human being he too had various emotions and soon all his emotions were justified. I am very thankful to the makers as well as to the fans that they accepted me."

Talking about his equation with his co-stars he went on saying, "I have been blessed to work in Bade Achhe… with such good people. Initially, I thought they were known names and they may not talk but believe me Ram sir (Ram Kapoor) and Sakshi Ma'am (Saakshi Tanwar) were very humble. They used to wait for me till I was comfortable giving a perfect shot. We have lunch together and all of us work as a team. There is no tantrum by anyone at all."

We hear that there is a leap happening and we asked Chirag too about how his character will shape up post the leap and he said, "I don't know what's in store for me post leap. Nothing has been intimated to me about the leap so far, so I can't tell you anything about it at this point of time."

Many of his fans also want to know about his personal life and how he is in real life about which Chirag says, "I am more of an easy going person, very calm and positive in life. I try to empathise more than sympathize." About his relationship status he says, "I am very much single and don't want to mingle so soon. I want my partner to be simple, sweet, understanding, loyal, down-to-earth and presentable, that's all! She should understand the time frame of my career and that's all I want. As and when I get such a girl I shall get hooked and till then I am happily single and committed to my work."
