"We must help out the people of Uttarakhand..."

We all have been feeling sad after seeing the bad condition of Uttrakhand which happened due to the natural calamity of floods. Actress Sehrish Ali who portrays the character of Chavi in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, has taken a supportive step for helping out the people of Uttarakhand along with her beau Syed Adil Kazmi.

Adil, who holds a passion for biking is on his way to Kedarnath all the way from Mumbai through his bike. He has been the finalist for MTV's Stunt Mania and he was the one who introduced free styling in India. He was also the one who made it legal in India and produced a show Free Style Battle India.  

When contacted Sehrish, she told us, "Adil has left for Kedarnath, covering a distance of 1500 km on his bike, along with one of his friend who is joining him on the way through his car. This idea was given by Adil as he wanted to go to Kedarnath to help out the needy people out there. He couldn't find ways to reach there through flight, therefore he choose bike as the best medium for him to reach there."

How has Sehrish contributed in this initiative taken by Adil? She shares, "I couldn't join him because of my shoot schedules but I have sent a lot of things as contribution for the people who might need them. Even my family members have sent lots of things to take care of the basic needs of people out there. My best wishes are with Adil and hope that he goes and comes back safely. It is believed that any wish asked by God during the time of Iftaar is granted soon. So, I wish that everything should be fine there and the people of Uttarakhand should start leading a normal life again and this kind of tragedy should not happen in future at any place. I wish that the worship of God in temples which has been stopped due to this tragedy will start again soon."

Sehrish believes everyone should lend in a helping hand, "We all must come forward to help out our countrymen who need us in the time of tragedy. Many children have become orphan and many people have lost their homes. So, we must help them out in all ways possible. Agar hum shuruaat karenge, tabhi baaki log bhi saath aayenge," concludes Sehrish.
