"I would actually love to do anchoring" : Sumona

Petite actress Sumona Chakravarti who is entertaining and laughing her heart out in 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. She is also very happy with her role as Natasha in Bade Acche Lagte Hai.

Sumona Chakravarti, who is seen as Mrs. Sharma in Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors and also as Natasha in Bade Acche Laggte Hai on Sony TV is very much loved by the viewers these days.

Speaking about her stand up comedy with Kapil in 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' she is all happy with everything in her life, also with her role as Natasha and the way her career is shaping up.

Talking about her show comedy Nights with Kapil, Sumona shares, "I have graduated along with Kapil in comedy nights.I have known Kapil since Comedy Circus days and he was my partner there as well. He is here too so the level of acting and understating between us has grown a lot. We compliment each other in many ways. I know when he forgets his lines, he knows when I forget my line and this way we try and balance it up."

"I have been loving the way our show has been appreciated and each and everyday we are working towards it. Initially I used to feel little awkward with the comments that Kapil used to pass on me but then one fine day Kapil ensured that he had a meeting with us saying that its for the character and not the actor after which I got used to it," she added.

When asked about the derogatory remarks that Kapil passes at times in the show on women, well Sumona defends it and says, "I never felt that Kapil is disregarding or demeaning females. He has been very respectful towards every single woman and the way he interacts with the audience out there is quite humble."

We all see Sumona laughing at Kapil's jokes so when we quizzed her on what makes her laugh so much for which she said, "We all are humans being and we all tend to laugh and seeing me laughing the audience out there also start laughing in many ways. When we do scripted lines we are aware of the lines but when Kapil cracks a sudden jokes we all tend to laugh. I am also a human being why will I not laugh."

"I am very much part of Bade Acche Lagte Hai and I haven't been offered any other roles as yet. I am waiting for different kind of roles to come my way. I would actually love to do anchoring," concludes Sumona.

Sumona is high on comedy!
