"No, I don't want to do the next season of Parvarrish!"

She is young, she is glam and her work has been much appreciated. After the abrupt end to Parvarrish, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, now wants to wait for good, sensible offers and do roles with full conviction!

The glam looking Barkha Bisht Sengupta, a popular face on television who was much appreciated for her item number in Raajneeti, is once again ready with a film. This time it is the much awaited Ramleela produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Barkha will be seen playing the role of a Gujarati bahu in the film.

Elaborating more on it, she says, "I play the role of Kesar, Ranveer Singh's elder brother's (played by Abhimanyu Singh) wife. Kesar is shown to be a typical Gujarati housewife and is the only woman in the family. She is a sweet, positive character and has a nice relationship with her brother-in-law Ranveer since they both are the only two people in the family who believe in love and non-violence as otherwise the family is shown to be quite violent. However, in the second half of the film due to change in the circumstances everything changes and my character has to take a stronger stance."

Apart from the fact that she got to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Barkha says that as of now she is happy with the way her character has shaped up, "I am very happy with the way the character was on paper and how it has shaped up now... however the final outcome is something even I am waiting for!"

While Barkha is happy with doing a film, and is currently doing a play too says that she has always been a TV person, "Films just happened otherwise to be honest, I have always been and am a TV person! Even now I don't think I will go around searching for roles in films... if they come my way it is OK, otherwise I am happy doing TV."

Barkha's admission to loving TV comes as surprise since her last outing on TV - Nayi Umr Nayi Chunauti - Parvarrish - Agla Padav lasted only for couple of months before going off air. Was she happy with her role in it and will she be part of the next season if it ever happens? "When Parvarrish fell into my lap I was waiting to get back to work after a break so I enjoyed and was happy doing the role but in the feedback I got, almost 99% of people told me that I didn't look my part. My character of a mom who has three children out of which one was 18 year old was not an easy fact to digest for the viewers. So, No... I don't think I want to be part of Parvarrish if ever a new season comes up."

Not only in Parvarrish, Barkha doesn't want to do roles where she has to play a mother. Barkha who looks hot and has a glamorous image says, "This time I am willing to wait for a good opportunity, a good role on TV wherein I can justify my presence. When I played a mother in Parvarrish, I couldn't play the character convincingly so what is the point of doing something which I myself cannot be convinced of doing."

Barkha has also done her bit of anchoring and was last seen as an anchor for Comedy Circus ke Ajoobe. What is her take on anchoring and on reality shows? "Anchoring is something different and I enjoyed every minute of it. Even now I am open to anchoring and also to participate in reality shows. I am a good dancer so I don't mind doing a dance based reality show."

So what is it that she has in mind? "I have nothing in particular in mind but I want to do a nice, sensible show. Only if it is a good show, good storyline and good character I would be happy. I have crossed the saas-bahu saga stage and I want to do realistic shows allowed by my sensibilities."

In the meantime Barkha keeps the actor in herself satisfied and busy by doing Bengali films too. She was introduced to Bangla films by her husband Indraneil Sengupta who is a popular actor in Bengali films. "I enjoy doing Bengali films where I play the heroine. I have done only one with Indraneil while the rest were not with him. It also helps that they shoot at a stretch so whenever there is a good offer and I have days available, I go ahead and shoot for them as they need only 20 days to a month for the shoot."

The couple also have a beautiful daughter Meira who is almost two years old now. The mention of her name brings a wide smile on Barkha's face as she describes her feeling of motherhood, "Being a mother is the best feeling in the world and after two years of having Meira, I can say that nothing makes me more happy. If I am going for long stretch for my outdoor shoots I always take her along with me. Now that she has started her playschool I will hae to cut down her going out of town otherwise she must be the most travelled baby!"

Meira with her cute looks and green eyes is a lovely combination of the two actors, and has also turned Indraneil into a loving and doting father says Barkha. "Indraneil is extremely busy but is a very loving father to Meira. Earlier he was not too fond of kids but now he is the most doting father I have ever seen. I am amazed to see how he has changed after Meira was born. He has great affinity towards her and is absolutely happy in her company. It is great to see their bonding" concludes this yummy mummy.

She is right..she didnt suit the role of a mother of 3.

She is a pretty and fit actress and its unrealistic to show her as a mother of 3.

i wouldnt mind Parvarish season 2 but different actors this time..i.e no Raavi

I've loved her and Indraneil since DSK days ! She's a sorted person. Clear with what she wants and how she's going to make her choices. I like that. :)

iI dont even want 2nd Season of Parvarish.. cant bear da torure of ROcky nd Raavi again.. nd if they wanna make den they can make it bt i dont want Shweta too in its 2nd Season !/i
