"I am a perfectionist!" Jaya Bhattacharya
Talking about her latest role in Maharana Pratap and about how she is watching Bigg Boss Saath 7 for her friend Kamya, Jaya Bhattacharya is at her candid best!

She is looking apt as Maham Anga in Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap. Getting accolades for her performance, Jaya is happy with the response she is getting for the role, "I have got loads of messages from my fans, friends and well-wishers and the maximum have been from my hometown, Lucknow. It feels great to be acknowledged and appreciated yet again. Most of them have praised me for the perfect diction and zubaan with someone even telling me that I reminded them of the Mughal-e-Azam days."
Further talking about Kamya and her favorite participants in this season, Jaya says, "My favorite participants this year have been Kamya and Tanisha Mukherjee. Both of them are playing the game nicely without raising their voices and fighting unnecessarily. As far as Kamya goes, she is playing the game apne style se. In real life too she is what she is being seen on the show. She is not a put-on at all. She is very blunt and will tell you on your face what she feels about you and will not talk behind your back!"
So has she taken extra efforts when it comes to polishing her dialogue delivery skills? "Yes, I have because I don't want to look wrong. I am sort of a perfectionist and believe that whatever work you do it should be done perfectly otherwise it is good not to do that work at all!"
This talented actor however is not interested in doing reality shows as of now and says, "To be honest, I have not even been offered any reality shows and I don't even watch many of them. I like to watch Kaun Banega Crorepati and I watched DID Super Moms. I am also watching Bigg Boss Saath 7 this year," specifies Jaya.
Is it because this year Bigg Boss has her good friend Kamya Punjabi in it? "Actually yes, I am watching it for her. And also because I found the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss boring and in some cases the participants were not too exciting whereas this year they are classy. There is less of fighting and negativity this year is what I feel. Also there are many TV personalities in the show so one can relate to them."
Well, sounds so much like Jaya herself. So, will we ever see Jaya in the show? "No way! I don't know how many days I will be able to survive in such a show as I am more blunt and upfront as compared to Kamya. I cannot keep quite and don't know how long I will be able to take double standards if I am part of the show," laughs Jaya.
Looking at her enthusiasm and listening to her throaty laughter it is impossible to believe that she has just turned 42 years last month. Point it out to this dusky beauty and she laughs out loud again, "Main mentally 42 ki nahi hui ab tak. I am still small. In fact, I even celebrated my birthday like kids do. My rakhi brother was planning a birthday party with my friends for me but I was adamant that I wanted to celebrate it my style. So I took off with couple of my friends and we all enjoyed rides at the Infinity Mall, Malad followed by dinner and drinks. I was on a complete high and soon got tired so had to wind up early but I enjoyed thoroughly and had fun!"
