'I was surprised when I got a call from Hats Off Production house'

The talented actress Bhavna Khatri who was previously seen in the show Jamunia and Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna which aired on Imagine, is all set to make a come back after a long time with the upcoming Zee TV's comedy show Bh Se Bhade which is produced by Jd Majethia's Hats Off Production.

Bhavna will be seen portraying the character of Menka in the show, who is the daughter in law of Mr.Bhade. On the same we got in touch with her to know more about the show, her character and how does she feel being a part of this show and much more.

Here it is what she said...

When asked Bhavna Khatri about her character in the show Bh Se Bhade, she said, "I am very much excited to be a part of the show Bh Se Bhade. I can connect to my character Menka very well. I identify with Menka in lot of things. As in the way she reacts is very much common to me in my real life except the fact that she is very stupid and I am not stupid in real life (laughs). The character of Menka came as a challenge to me and I was very happy to grab this opportunity."

She says that she was surprised when she got a call for a comedy show, "I was bit surprised when I got an audition call from the production house. It was Hats Off Productions and they called me for a comedy show. I asked them many a times that have they really called me for the audition? As I have not done any comedy show before. My previous shows were daily saas - bahu saga. But then they were adamant that they had called the right person and they wanted me to come and audition for the show. So I went forward and I was chosen to play the character of Menka. I was a part of the show then."

The producer Jd Majethia has groomed her towards her comedy skills, says Bhavna, "The way Jd Majethia sir saw me off-screen, the same way he wanted to portray me in a similar way on-screen. He removed the comical talent in me and groomed me towards it, which has really helped me. Just like our parents say - I would like to launch you on-screen with your inner talent, the similar way Jd sir has been with me. He told me that he will launch me in a different way and I totally believed him."

Working with senior actors was a fear for her in the initial stage as it was a challenge for her to match up to their acting skills, "Yes, when I signed the contract for the show, I was scared again too. I knew that this show will have all the very well known senior actors whose comic timings will be spectacular. The thoughts that troubled me were -will I be able to match up with them? This fear was seen during our workshop too. But now I am quite comfortable to share a screen space with all my co-actors. They have been very supportive and helpful towards me," says Bhavna.

The veteran popular actress Sarita Joshi and the ace actor Deven Bhojani are the actors she looks up to in the show Bh Se Bhade and says, "I have always adored Saritaji and Deven Bhojani. When I act on-screen I observe them a lot in this show. I get to learn a lot from them and it is surely going to be of great help for me in my future."
