"I am doing this film because of the assurance I gave to the director" - Karan Kundra

After having moved on to films, handsome Karan Kundra is all set for his second film Dilphire. He shares with us the details of the film, how did he bag the film and much more...

TV hunk Karan Kundra who was last seen as a host of Channel V's Gumrah is all set for his second innings in films. Karan is gearing up for his second upcoming film Dilphire and is busy shooting for the film in Agra.

As Karan has been applauded for his spectacular work in television as well as in Bollywood, this time too he is all set to charm his audiences with his acting skills in the film Dilphire.

We got in touch with Karan Kundra to know more about his upcoming film and he said, "Agra is a great city as I have shot here for the show Gumrah. We are here since 26th of April and we shot the title track."

Adding more about the storyline of the show, Karan avers, "Basically it's a story about a boy who is from Taj Ganj, it is a place in Agra near Taj Mahal. Taj Ganj is a place where all the family members of those people who erected Taj Mahal reside there. So it is a great experience here and all the people are very supportive. As the film is based on Agra so most of the film will be shot here and some scenes may be shot in Mumbai"

We asked the actor that how he bagged the role for the film and he said, "I was doing a film Ram Pam Posh in 2013 where the director Puneet Prakash had come on our set. He spotted me there and saw my work and since he already knew me so he offered me the role. I read the script and found it interesting and actually I am doing this film because of the assurance I gave to the director. This is how I bagged the role but Sheetal Verma was my recommendation. I saw her picture one and a half years back on Instagram and were became friends when she was in Himachal Pradesh."

Talking about the selection of the film's heroine, Karan states, "More than 80 girls gave their audition for the role but we didn't find the perfect one. And one day I was going through my friend list and I came across her picture and thought of recommending her. So I told her about it and that time she was busy in Delhi. So we sent one unite at Delhi and auditioned her and she had that spark in her, which was required for the role and so she got selected. Later she came down to Mumbai where I introduced her with the creative and the production people."

When asked him about his plans to return to Television he said, "I am doing this film and after I complete this film I have another film in hand but I am not leaving television. I will do something between both these films. As you have seen that when I did horror story that time also I was doing a show Gumrah. So it doesn't mean that if I am doing films then I am leaving Television."

TellyBuzz wishes Karan Kundra all the best for his films!
