Television's popular actress Raatan Raajputh, rose to fame with the show Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee TV. Later she participated in a popular reality show Bigg Boss Saath 7 on Colors.
Ratan was seen as a princess Amba in Star Plus' mythological show Mahabharat which was a very promising role. After playing diversifying roles in the shows, this petite actress is set to show her different avatar in MTV India's popular show Fanaah.
We got in touch with Ratan to know more about her character, the show and more in this conversation with TellyBuzz.
Here is Ratan sharing her experience...
Ratan says that her look and character in the show is completely different which the viewers have not seen before, "Look se jyada I am happy to
play this character. In this character I am not wearing a saari because the
character demanded a modern look. I won't reveal much about the character now because I want people to see the show. My character name is Ira who is
living since ages. My life's transition phase will be shown from 1920 in which I am born, then in 80s, 90s and lastly in 2014. I won't be able to tell you the exact age because I am bad at
calculation (giggles). Ira is a very powerful girl and something even more which you will come to know once the show starts."
So is it a negative character? Ratan says, "In our show there is no negative or positive character and so is my character. Out of all the roles I have done so far, yeh character sabse different hai. I enjoy experimenting with my characters because after experimenting, the result which you get is different. It may be good or bad but I believe that every experience teaches you a good lesson and I have lots of hope with Ira's character in Fanaah."
Initially Ratan was in a dilemma whether to play this role or not but it was Vikas Gupta who convinced her to play Ira's character and she agreed to do so, "I was surprised when I heard about this character. I was not sure that I will be able to do this show or not because after I heard the script, I felt like a friend is narrating a story and wants a feedback from me that how is the story? But when he said that you are playing this character, I was surprised, I asked him are you sure that you want me to play this character? I was not convinced to play the character but Vikas Gupta had full faith on me and today I am a part of this show just because of him. Now I am also confident that I will be able to play this character. I am happy that I took up this role."
"I will be seen doing action scenes. Right now we haven't started
shooting such scenes but haddi tutne ke baad ka dard kya hota hai, woh mai abhi se bardasht
karne ki koshish kar rahi hoon because I am
sure that something like this will happen. We have shot a few scenes where we are running in the forest, in muck, during rains and spray (pain killer) is our companion aur
thodi bahot toh lagti hai of course. So we are being brave and sturdy and have resumed shooting, concludes Ratan talking about action sequences in the show.
Its nice to see Ratan back in MTV India's supernatural show Fanaah!
